Hi there! A few of my friends and I have been working on this series for about two months now... So far it's mostly backstory and the usual Slender Man occurrences, but we have plans... oh yes.
It starts off as one girl's twitter and video blog about going to a new college, but clearly, something more is happening. Then when her best friend gets pulled in, things go wrong.
Anyway, we're hoping for some feedback, we all know that things are a bit slow and rough so far, but we're hoping to pick up the pace and get some real story going here!

It is always rough getting started. It is a time when you must find your bearings and see what people respond to and what people dislike. I have a few suggestions. It is okay to have some long winded episodes, but several in a row is enough to cause a viewer, especially one who starts off in the wrong place, to disregard your series. People disregard series more easily now then ever before because of the abundant selection. Next I would suggest that you be careful when holding the cam. It is rough on the viewer when you whip the camera around in a casual setting. In such a setting there is no real reason to do so unless you really need to do it to serve a purpose. The pay off, well this is a personal preference. I do not know how others feel about this, but I hate suggested things that the holder did not catch on cam when the camera was on and they were right there. The same can be said for fill in the blank distortion. There is no payoff in these things and it makes me feel cheated. One thing that I have noticed about your series is that I can tell when you are trying to lead a conversation somewhere and when you are just talking. The acting is apparent in contrast to your natural dialog. I know acting sucks. I am not good at it, but you should find a better median between your two aspects of speak. I hope this helps. I cant wait to see what happens when your series picks up some steam.

Thanks for the advice! I really hope (and believe) we can smooth this stuff out when we get to actual storyline. I'll pass everything along to the others!

It's getting pretty interesting! Normally I like a bit of buildup but I like how you just kind of hop right into the fray of things. I hope you don't mind, I commented IC from my own non slendy but still creepy vlog. My character's sort of "genre aware" so he knows who Slenderman is...so I had him mention him. If you don't want me to say anything like that, I can always remove it. Looking forward to see where you go with this!

There's some good ideas, used here. The knitting project, for example, is a very interesting and unique idea to add to the mythos and I liked the use of the crawlspace too, it was a nice bit of added creepy.
If I have to complain (And I always have to complain) I would say the acting is less good in some parts than it is in others, but that's a problem that can be surmounted by doing more takes. As well as that, I would very much advise making costumes for your antagonists and finding somebody to wear them rather than editing them in. But yeah, definitely shows some promise. Like I said, you have interesting ideas and brought in something new and original which I have to admire you for.

Oh yeah and one suggestion, if you use that crawlspace again, is to make sure to film it! Lots of people have claustrophobia (which you think would be a fear of Santa) and even if they don't, it just adds some good creepyness.
Yeah the acting could be better but I can't say anything given my acting in my own series, lol. I don't want to criticize because I know my own stuff is pretty bad . But I like the series so far and I'm interested to where you're gonna take it.

I keep forgetting to watch this! I saw it on my subs list and I haven't had the time. I'll try to get to it soon!
Edit:
Pretty cool video! However, I had trouble hearing your dad and had to turn up the volume on my speakers. It's not really that bad now but just don't do that if you're going to have ear splitting distortion, cause that'd be REALLY loud, lol. Over all, cool video. I'm wondering if your imaginary friend is going to play more of a part in the series, or if it's just a mention. BTW, the story I told you in the youtube comment is true, lol. I was a strange kid

Spoiler:
The series is done, yeah. Mostly due to OOG issues (aka I moved across the entire country and the rest of my cast is still in MA.) The characters are not necessarily dead, though...

Yknow, I've always had trouble catching up to new series that I discover because they are always constantly updating, so in between keeping up to date with other Slendervlogs that I follow, I have trouble keeping up with the one I discovered.
Now with this one, since it's finished, I don't have to worry about that. Saying that, I'll be catching up with this one quickly.

In Introduction?: "Any clues in the Seattle video? It might be your closest link in terms of location."
Mel/Clover: "That's a really good idea- I haven't watched all of that video yet, but if I can find out who the older guy in it is maybe I can contact him and get an idea of just what is going on here."
Hello Again "So let's see... you got a Sailor Saturn poster and your cat. Try work around your interests, maybe there's something you might find that'll match, even the smallest interests. By the way, any new clues with the Seattle video?"
Mel/Clover: "Well, apparently Clover was a fashion student, and I do love art (painted the Sailor Saturn picture myself) so that sorta matches up. I've also been looking for any info on who the older man in the Seattle video- Clover's dad I guess- might be. I can't really tell where they might've gone walking unfortunately, but I've been asking around to a few people. Also done some searching for "Clover Jameson" in the few places she mentioned in her videos, but haven't found anything really substantial."
Julie Huebner: "It sounds like whatever happened to you, these guys basically put you in like a witness protection program, it's weird that they would just leave the evidence right there for you to find, but maybe they wanted you to, for some reason. I'd try to find out more about Project Shadows, maybe you can Google it?"
Mel/Clover: "Well it was pretty well locked up, along with a lot of other files. I don't think they ever expected me to go snooping down there tbh, my memory was pretty fuzzy even when I was on the drugs. They made me not notice a loooot of things. I did also try finding out about Project Shadows, but there's nothing online. I'm fairly certain it's just a codename for whatever their real organization is.
Interestingly enough though, after being off the meds for almost a year now, I have weird vague memories about being in a hospital type place that almost seems more like a dream than anything else. I don't think I'll ever really get those back but it's still odd."
