Hello everyone! It's probably about time for us to toss out some of the minor changes we've done to the site so everyone's fully aware.
First off, we do have a revised version of the
Slender Nation Rules and Guidelines, which you can find by clicking that link. We've adjusted some of them, and added a rule about having more than one account on the site. Touched up some of the guidelines as well, and adjusted the Staff-Related section with updated links to Mods and Admins to contact about certain problems. We've also added a detailed account of the Repercussions for breaking our rules, so you'll know what happens whenever someone makes the accident of doing so.
The more important update with the rules is our new Disclaimer, which is as follows.
- Quote :
- Disclaimer: The Slender Nation is a Horror-based Forum Community dedicated to the vast amount of media content pertaining to the meme known as "The Slender Man". If you are under the age of 13, it is recommended that you DO NOT join this site. This forum website also contains content not suitable for people under the age of 17, but will still allow members of the age 13 and above to join.
Apparently forumotion doesn't outright say anything about an age limit, so this is going to be enforced now.
As for other things, we're going to be working on the Homepage and the links on it as well, so don't be alarmed if you see any changes on there. We've already removed the link to the SN Wiki due to some vandalism that had occurred, and we may or may not add it back. We also removed the Affiliate page and added it to the right side of the forum under the Latest Topics section, as you should be able to see.
We'd also like to remind everyone to
use the Report System! There's been some offhand backseat moderating that we've noticed lately, and feel a though we should remind people to use the system in place. And while it may not be a rule, it's definitely a guideline that should be followed.

- 4. Avoid backseat moderating. Please use the Report System instead of taking matters into your own hands. The Report System is for when you find a topic or post on the forum to be breaking the rules. By doing this, it will notify the Staff immediately so that they can take care of the problem, and it'll keep the forum cleaner without having threads de-railed by these situations.
For those that don't know how to access the Report System, I refer you to this image of the button:
The flag image on a post is what you would click to report a post. You can also select a specific reason for which you're reporting the post for. If you're reporting a post and it doesn't follow under a particular reason, simply select the Misc. option, and feel free to elaborate in the appropriate section.
If you have any other problems on the site, such as with a particular user or anything else, feel free to contact any Moderator or Admin. Any technical issues should be directed toward either myself or Erratic.
I do believe that's it for now. If anyone has any questions or comments, please post them here.
Have a nice day!
