I feel like a little bit of a refresher course is in order!

If you're new here, I have a checklist of things for you to do:

After that, if you'd like to make a topic on something, please check 1) if a thread for your subject already exists, to post it there 2) that you are posting in the correct subforum, and 3) that it is on a topic that would generate relevant conversation.

On a personal note, if you join the forum and immediately start a topic for the movie or book that you plan on creating based on the Slender Man, and you have not absolutely scoured the entire mythos to make sure that what you want to do hasn't been done before and would be well-received... Well, I think TheFallenenvoy has summed up my thoughts on the matter wherever necessary.

How can we fix this other then just hoping certain people read the rules? I think it would be fun if their was a little quiz people had to answer before they created an account. Nothing heavy but just a few simple question to get them started.

I don't run forum maintenance, but as far as I know there's no way to implement that before account creation.
What we have now is an automated message that sends people the rules upon account creation

True it wouldn't work and I know that this is a public fourm for anyone to be part of. But you have to admit being able to get rid of all the IC posters or plug and runs before they could post would be awesome.

That is why we have staff members who check on the forum often. We keep up the best maintenance we can. Even so, all we can really do is remind people to read the rules and hope they actually read and understand them.

I have to say out of all the fourms I have been through this place has some of the best of them. And this isn't ass kissing but thank you guys for running such an awesome website.

More importantly: do we still send out that AMAZING "Hitler Got Banned from SlenderNation" video to people who get banned?
