So, I know this topic has been kind of dead, but something came up that I wanted to share with you all. I found this video on Youtube:

I have messaged them and asked them to do a collaboration with me to create a Slender Man anime type thing. So what do you all think?

The animation was great. High school of the dead music was kind of out of place though. Personally I would have gone with carnival (like in http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IBcE2QDYy_A).

Also, needs more dead children.

That music is pretty freaking disturbing. But yea, I really hope that they are willing to collaborate.

I want, no NEED this. Though I think it would be cool to see it in a standard anime framework, rather than an animated vlog. Maybe one day, I suppose Smile

I'd like to see a Slenderman animated series/vlog. It might be interesting and if the animation was really solid you could get quite creative with it. Having your protagonist looking for a friend in the woods and having Tall and Faceless literally melt into and from the shadows *like they're extensions of himself*? Yes please, the potential for animation could be beautiful here...

Gosh, I've been wanting to animate Slendy. I only have done a few storyboards done on an idea, though. It was about some little girl finding a tree full of papers on the branches, and then he appears. Went to school for animation but...yeah. No time for much without a set schedule. Would love to, though. If I could make it work, at least something 30-60 seconds. I don't think I could justify more without something paying the bills 8(.

Good luck with your idea, though!

Hm. What kind of animation, besides the tendrils, would be used if he were shown moving? Slow and purposeful and fluid, creeping ever closer? Or really quick, jagged, and faster than humanly possible? What animation style - an anime style, maybe a harsher sketchy style, or a clean-looking style? So many questions.

I have two main styles I'm entertaining in my head: sharper, less detailed, more spindly/lengthy Slenderman, with tentacles out a lot (sort of hovering, maybe "tasting" the air); rounder, more detailed animation with less tentacles except when he'd decided to go in for the kill.

I honestly really love abstract and stylized Slendermen, so I think you know which one I'd pick.

Since I can't get this out of my head, I did some minor concept art. Mostly just character design stuff. Not that I had much work to do since he's pretty much designed already.

The lines would have to be simplified but this is kind of what I envision a more detailed animation would look like; round, smooth, to allow lots of soft lines and fluid animation.

Next I'll try something more easy to animate; sharper, more distinct lines. This would allow for more violent, edgy scenes.

Wish I had a studio to realize it in, though 8(.

Those actually look really good, and you could use them for scenes where he's not really moving much, or just the tendrils are moving or he's tilting his head or something. It looks great! Very Happy Then again all your art looks great to me. I'm so jealous of your talent it hurts. >.<

I've been away from this forum for a little while (working on various school and music projects), but now I'm back. I'm excited that while I was gone, people still talked about this. I want a Slender Man animation so bad and nobody will work with me, although honestly... I would be happy just watching one, especially if it was done by some one with the art skills like Packfong, cause daaaannnnnggg....
