Anybody else looking forward to this? I loved the first game, but I'm afraid that my computer's not going to be able to handle it. D:

If you haven't heard of it, here's the new trailer they released on Halloween:

And the old trailer.

I'd be shocked if it wasn't on Steam, considering the first one was.

So I finished Amnesia the Dark Descent a while ago and it was really awesome and everything - so I was thinking just recently of going ahead and getting a Machine for Pigs. However, I was wondering if anyone's played this.

is Daniel still the main character and dufuq is happening in this game if Alexander's dead? And is it any better than TDD?

I've never actually played the first game (probably because I'm broke most of the time). But i'm psyched about AMFP.

Here's an LP that I find particularly great, and no, it's not because I'm in Episode 6 and 7:

I've played through a lot of the game, not all of it yet, but most of it.  I'm a HUGE Amnesia: The Dark Descent fan so I was really excited for this game to come out for a long time.  The game has its own uniqueness and some things about it are pretty decent however if you're going to play this game I highly recommend playing it with an open mind. There were a lot of things that were extremely disappointing for me personally because I was comparing it to The Dark Descent as far as judging it as a not-so-much-sequel. A Machine For Pigs supposedly takes place 60 years after The Dark Descent and while at this point Alexander is dead and none of the old characters are in this game, there are quite a few references to the first Amnesia which makes things very interesting.

I like this game as a horror game in itself, it has scared me plenty of times and probably more times to come however I can't get past comparing it and judging it under The Dark Descent simply because I'm such a huge fan and also because this is another Amnesia title and I feel that if you're going to make a game title into a series of games it needs to live up to its legend. There are also quite a few mistakes in the game that quite frankly I find unforgivable considering they took an extra year to release the game.

I really enjoyed the game but I do see why so many TDD fans were disappointed.AMFP didn't scare me as much as TDD did(One time in TDD I literally screamed.) but it was pretty spooky.I think The Chinese room did a good job on AAMFP.

I watched the Markiplier play through, and like he shows, the AI mechanics of the Grunt is better than the Pigmen.

I hope I can get this in the future, yet I wonder, what will the Custom Campaigns would be liked with the sequel on.

I don't why but I got a supreme punch to the gut while listening to the soundtrack
Spoiler:

The music in this game so powerful.IMO The dark descent is still a better game at scares and gameplay but A Machine for Pigs would be better at story and music(Don't get me wrong, the music and story in TDD were amazing).

Even through I still prefer the story in AMFP I still have one problem with it.
SPOILER:

but overall the story is great IMO.
