The Slenderoscars

So, since I'm fairly sure I'm dying of a lung disease along with half my campus (or, you know, we all have Slendersickness or someshit), I thought this would be a fun thing to put up before my inevitable demise.

There were worries about old favourites like JAF or DiD winning everything. So I propose they go the way of Casablanca-- they're treated as classics and aren't allowed to win any awards this year.

My thought was that, as opposed to the Slender vs. Slander topic, this isn't about the overall quality but the separate parts. For example, I love a Hint of Serendipity, but I wouldn't want it to win a Slenderoscar for "Best Plot". I would nominate it for a "Best Character" one, though.

It'd also be good to say why you wanted a certain blog to win a certain category.

And there are multiple categories. If people get better ideas or more ideas or want to change current ones, they should.

Also, I'd like to state that this is less a competition and more a way of directing people to blogs they might actually be interested in. You like action? The "Best Action" category is right over there? Love characters? Try the blogs nominated for the "Best Characters" award!

I know I love the blogs all equally (though some are more equal than others *Cough*) but I love them all for different reasons.

The three major vLogs are excluded from everything because there has already been a pretty good consensus about their strengths and weaknesses. So they get to be all isolated and alooone.

I mean it's pretty much cheating, you can't tell someone to vote between the Manliest show ever and put up Gurren Lagann against anything else. It's just not fair.

I'd like "Best Scene/Post" for another category. And then nominate (and I can't believe I'm actually saying this) "Fill" from FRIENDS. I can't believe I'm nominating something by Frap, since he's usually so infuriating, but it's actually a pretty well-written post that drew me in.

I'd also like to propose the "Best parody/comedy" and nominate "Splendorman" and "Concrete Giraffes."

I'd like to nominate Jean from Vivere disce for Best Character.

If you include Andy's categories, I'd also like to nominate The History of the World, Part 1 from Vivere disce for Best Scene/Post and Marble Yellowjackets for Best Parody.

I'd also like to suggest two more categories; Best Crossover and Most Mindfucking, and nominate Vivere disce/Peering In From The Outside for the former and Observe and Terminate for the latter.
