Acreage a Slenderman Boardgame

That's really interesting! Can't wait to play!!

When its done PM me I would love to play it!!

So on Monday my team is meeting with a copyright assistant to check out everything to make sure we can do this. If everything goes well he will assign the kickstarter and get this going.

@The Slenderfreak: I have students around willing to play and give feedback (all have been positive so far). Me and my team have agreed that we don't want to be posting valuable information such as the rules at this point. We need to keep files like that safe for now.

As far as the Mobile App goes, that may not be as full-fledged and accurate to the physical game it self. So don't look up to much on that. I can assure you though, that my team will try their hardest to get this game published.

I am so glad that all of your are willing to play! I never thought a board game (as outdated and 90s as they seem) would get so much great reactions from you guys!

If the kickstarter is not made, I will post all files up somewhere for you to print and craft the game together yourself. Hopefully though that wont happen and this game will be sold in your local supermarket or online somewhere.

Ooh. This is certainly a thing I am interested in seeing become an actual thing. Whether it's through a fancy board game that I can buy somewhere or just through files I can print or something.

I really love boardgames and so it's neat to see one being made for the Slenderman mythos. It could go next to my Arkham Horror...

There's just one thing... On the version of the board using the Observer symbol as the compass rose... I think your East and West are flipped?

Why weren't there board games like this when I was younger? Man, this would have been so sweet. I want to buy this just so that when I have kids they can play it. Of course, I wouldn't show them it when they were really young, that's messed up. But probably around 9. Btw, you know how board games do that Ages 3+. Do you/Are you going to have that with the game?

Also, I think you should include a bit of information about Slenderman somewhere (for people who don't know anything about him).

I would go out in the woods with my friends at night and play this by flashlight. While I had horror music playing.

Except I think my best buddy and I would end up fighting over who got to play Slenderman... Say, is it one player, or is it just a variable piece?

The Slenderman piece is controlled by cards. When you hit a operator space you draw a card with the symbol on it and it tell where slenderman moves on the board. EX: Move Slenderman 5 places north, 3 places west. There is a compass on the board to help you.

That's probably for the best actually.

I swear the piece has a mind of it's own though, it will follow somebody and when they hit a location he seems to go after someone else for the time being until exit it. It's really fucking creepy.

But... if it's controlled by cards... that means it's controlled by random chance. But if the "following" mechanic works...

... My Statistics Tutor side really wants to say it's just really well-planned chance, while my Slenderfan side really wants to go IC and panic and say it's not coincidence.

I absolutely LOVE this idea! This needs to be a thing! If this does get a kickstarter and you get it made and developed, can you make sure us guys in Ireland and the rest of Europe can get our hands on this, (without the shipping being completely outragous if that's in your control) because I think this could have a huge market, all over the world and the slenderverse! :3
