Creating the Slenderman (And Editing) Empty
PostSubject: Creating the Slenderman (And Editing)   Creating the Slenderman (And Editing) EmptyMon Jun 17, 2013 1:42 pm

So I'm an honestly considering creating a Slenderman vlog. However, I am a bit stumped as to how to make my Slenderman. I know many use an actor, but I'm a bit out of luck there. So how do you all do it?

Also, what software works well for editing in distortion?

For distortion, get After Effects CS6 or CS2. Adobe apparently has CS2 products free to download.

The ways of making Slender Man really depends on the materials you have. Joshua of The Angel's Game used a mannequin made from a lamp. Or you can composite him in After Effects or Sony Vegas.

As I said it depends on the materials you have.

I used a morphsuit and a chair. Also, for distortion I'd recommend for visual, After Effects. For audio, I'd recommend Audacity.

If you want to edit the video's audio. There's some plug-ins for Audacity for importing audio of videos.

I use a morph suit and stilts, that way if needed he can move about a bit more. Also i use Vegas and Audacity for distortion, a great combo!

If you are clever enough with your camera angle you don't necessarily need anything more than a normal adult sized actor. You can start there and then always work out the more technical solutions later. This shouldn't be the thing that stops you from starting your vlog.
