What is with the CreepyPasta fame?

CreepyPastas while fun to listen to and read..they have become a pain..half of them now are only enjoyable because of the reader..AND I AM TIRED OF IT!

Yeah, creeepypastas aren't the same anymore. Too many people are trying too hard. They need to be short and sweet, or at least well written enough to warrant their existence. Unfortunately, very few can fall into those prerequisites. Writing horror is tricky, and too many of these authors have not nailed it.

See! someone who gets what I'm trying to say!....


I can't see why they can't spend their time doing it.....if they want it so bad they'll develop a nice story.....not just throw together a few things that sound good.....

Part of the sudden fame came from Pastamonsters on Deviantart. They glorify the monsters into looking like goofy sweethearts, which drew in the attention of many. Which explains the crappy Jeff roleplayers floating around online.

Personally, Creepypasta becomes annoying because of all the Crappypasta out there. I mean, just go to a creepypasta site. You'll find that many of them are Jeff the Killer based, written more in a romantic way than in a horror, creepy way. There are too many romance-based creepypasta, which, aside from some gore here and there, have nothing creepy in them. I love creepypasta that keeps you up at night, such as the original Rake one, which, even if short and without a plot, scares the crap out of you. I mean, when I read it a year or two ago, I couldn barely sleep for two nights. The very idea of a, well, thing, sneaking up on me and watching me sleep and then massacring me when I wake up was so... creepy. So that's the problem. Creepypasta gets to much fame amongst 14-year-old girls who only read Jeff the Killer and then make creepypasta into love stories like Twilight.

Sorry if I hurt a 14-year-old Jeff the Killer loving Twilight fan. That's just my opinion

I like creepypastas cause I read/listen to them at night...I usually have insomnia.

But I just want to do what I want to do....besides it's fun to write them!

Yeah, I love creepypasta before bedtime. Keeps you up better than an energy drink.

I have trouble getting to sleep. Also, I LOVE nightmares!

Here you go. Tumblr fucked the formatting but its great. The introduction takes a while to kick up, but its building up the characters and setting.

I uh..was very tired when I wrote that..so just uh...read the edit..I meant that as in...creepy stories/pastas have been becoming trilly/frilly stories..like making Jeff a..princess as in...a little girl compared to the monster he really is....I am glad to say that the story was interesting...and I hope that you may make more!

I know right the original's are the best I literally could not sleep for two days when I was younger and read The Rake because I knew slenderman was fake but with this guy I really did not know at that point.

The Rake is, for me, the scariest one out there. I read it, like, 2 years ago and I'm still uncomfortable sleeping with my back turned to the door.
