| Well, there wasn't really much attention called to it, but it is where the whole 'what pumpkin' joke came from | |

I wanted a Karkat shirt SO BAD. ASDF, THEY HAVE SHIRTS? Oh, my. Well now I know what to put on my "things to buy" section of my bucket list. (No pun intended.) I just started reading last week, but I haven't had time to finish because of school, homework, lacrosse and piano. Thankfully, I just finished act 1 yesterday and today I got up to the part where you're introduced to Dave. Unfortunately... - Spoiler:
I've encountered numerous spoilers to the comic. Most of them being accidently read and one of them being clicking on a video. Then I watched the original video of the character's death and cried. ;_;

That's why I avoided searching up anything related to Homestuck Until I was completely caught up. I always tell myself, "Don't look up fanart, fanfiction, videos, forums, etc. until your finished!" But I never actually do so. Probably my mischievous side taking over. And on topic, I'm still in act 2, where I have to - Spoiler:
Read the second GameFaq walkthrough that Rose is posting. I SWEAR I'LL GET CAUGHT UP BEFORE THE END OF THE MONTH! Or at least hopefully in time for the big flash update that everyone's talking about.

| SO I WAS LISTENING TO THE HOMESTUCK ALBUMS ONLINE. THEN I GOT TO THE SONG AWAKENING. LOOK AT THE PICTURE FOR THE SONG. THAT IS DEFINITELY NOT THE WARHAMMER ZILLYHOO JOHN IS HOLDING. I DON'T KNOW WHAT THAT HAMMER IS CALLED, BUT IT IMPLIES MANY POSSIBLE SPOILER-ISH THINGS FOR WHAT WILL HAPPEN IN THE FUTURE. DISCUSS. | |

Because we have already seen that hammer. Caught up entirely, but I don't remember seeing that hammer being used by John thus far. The last hammer we've seen him with was the Zillyhoo; he hasn't gained any new weapons since then. Though it's possible I saw it then completely forgot about it. /shrug

| There's no way I'll ever find it, but if it has appeared before, then my guess would be it showed up the first time we see John as he's about to cause the Scratch, during one of the many bouncing back and forth through time moments... Oh, so during/after his first conversation with Karkat.
And Vriska did give him the code for her dice... so maybe he combined those with Zillyhoo? That could be possible.... and Awesome.

*SPOILERS* More pages? Agh, I'm so behind! But thankfully, due to my procrastination in reading this damn 6,000 page long comic, I have conjured the worst pun you'll ever hear in your life while so pathetically thinking of corny jokes to amuse people. That being said, what do you call someone glued to their wall? - Spoiler:
HOMESTUCK
And also, thanks to my friends, the word "derpy" now translates through my mind as "dirty." Which means that "Derpy John" is now "Dirty John." And I just know that someone will abuse my horrid translation. On topic, *Goes to do the ready thing.*

*SPOILERS* Ah, one of dem stuff happening in the future which we're going to show now because chronology can go fuck itself parts. Thought it would be something like that. Still means we haven't got an explanation for what it is, but the symbol on it and the shape says a lot.

| So my thoughts on this webcomic are thus:
This is the 2nd most convoluted/confusing work I have ever experienced (the first being Neon Genesis Evangelion (which is more confusing than convoluted)) that wasn't intentionally designed to be completely senseless.
There are at least five timelines (the Sburb timeline, the Sgrub timeline, the Sburb Exiles, the Sgrub Exiles, and the Doc Scratch timeline which actually seems like it's just completely outside of time altogether) that all interact to some extent and there's time loops and alternate timelines WITHIN those timelines. I think that at this point, AH is the only one who understands all of what's going on.
In addition there are SO MANY FUCKING CHARACTERS and SO MANY FUCKING PESTERLOGS, and we still only really got half of the story of Hivebent. I'm really sick of the Vriska/John and Terezi/Dave pesterlogs. I'm so glad that most of them seem to be done with, because if I have to read many more, I'm going to do some sort of acrobatic fucking pirouette off the fucking handle.
Which reminds me. I now speak in all the Homestuck memes. All of them. That's because, despite my ranting, it's a very well done series with good characters and worldbuilding. I never found it to be absolutely hilarious, but you sacrifice some humor when you have a story that in-depth. And that's not to say that it's not funny. Even some of the more serious lines are funny ("I think I gave your universe cancer. Sorry.").
Basically, enjoyable and with catchy memes (iit'2 ju2t two fun two type iin all the troll2 wriiting quiirk2), but not something I consider myself a fanboy of. Just a fan.
