So um, I don't want to sound stupid here, but I've never watched this one so I've gotta ask:

What the hell are you all talking about?

I was actually a big fan of this one. Good effects, decent acting, genuinely creepy...I'm just sad that it stopped. And that its name is tarnished by all the drama surrounding it.

There's a long lengthy story behind it all that I'll leave another member to tell you. I've got be leaving for works soon so I have a very small amount of time to tell a rather large story.

I know nothing of this drama myself so I be also curious...

I don't know the drama. Now you have me curious. As for the vlog itself? Ehhh...not really a fan. I watched most of it...I didn't buy the acting, and most of the gimmicks were overstated.

I find the recent surge in interest fun. I may go through and watch it all again today, just for old time's sake.

Jonclubs113 was made by the member Satyrcynic(who was also the former Admin who designed this site template to what it is), and it was a video Slenderseries. Personally, I liked it, but then there was a flamewar between Jonclubs and EMH, and things went to shit for the series.

Meh, it seems pretty easy to get in a flame war with EMH. They are incredably defensive about their work. look at the comment stream, every time someone questions the work they do, complains that they have too many characters or monsters, or whathaveyou; they leave a defensive (sometimes outright rude) message to the critic, and they don't change anything.

Come on guys. I know that it's all fun and games, but it's also a series meant to entertain. Your fans made you what you are, you should sure as hell treat them with a degree of respect even if they are giant internet trolling douchebuckets.

But then. That's just me.

Aw, Zander, you ruined the game.

Still, I'm just as amused as Lisa is with the recent interest. I haven't watched the series since it ended. I might have to again soon.

The first videos were very meh. You've gotta stick it through for a few more, because they actually get pretty dang good later on. I mean, look at Angel's Game, which didn't really even start until it was about 20 videos in (note: this is a possibly exaggerated estimate), or Dark Harvest, which gave us "Chubby Slender Man" in early videos.

To be honest, I was unaware for a long time that anyone else had done a series beyond Marble Hornets. So while I've been watching MarbleHornets since the first season or so, it took a long time for me to discover other blogs. When I did, I was pretty sure I was in for the same terror that MH brought me; so when it didn't I was unimpressed and didn't delve any further.
