I have a few.. Problems with this so far. Why did you need a flashlight in your house when clearly your power was working? Why was your "Rake" a dog? And I got annoyed by all of the "Oh my Gosh's" that I want to make a drinking game out of it. I'm gonna watch it to see if it gets better, if not, then I won't watch. I'm going to give you some advice here. As a creator myself, it's hard to come up with original ideas, since so much has been already done.. But don't do the whole "What happened? What's going on? start to your series, I can name at least 13 vlogs that have already done that. Be creative, don't be afraid to step out of the mythos, because nothing is really canon. If need any pointers, or help, message me on here, or something.

BTW,all the vids so far have been recorded by my friend.

IDK why he ran from the dog.He wanted it to be the Rake I presume, but I myself agree that that wasn't good.

I'm not sure about the flashlight thing either.Maybe he did that for intensity. Also he likes to say "oh my gosh"a lot, sorry about that.

Thanks for the feedback.I'll try to work on these things to make this series better.

Good luck with your series, and yeah, look out for glaring nonsensical things like using a flashlight if the power's working. You could have had a cool reveal with the lights being off, the room being crazy dark, and the camera starts glitching, then lights on - bam, there's Slendy.

The problem with "Oh my Gosh" is that it doesn't sound genuine. I don't know of anyone who'd just start going "Oh my Gosh" if confronted with an eldritch abomination. They'd probably be a lot busier running and screaming obscenities and whatever else came to mind. Have your friend think about what his character would actually do in that scenario, or what HE would actually do. That'll make it genuine and make the audience feel it more.

I agree with Nick here - step outside the boundaries. Not every blog uses the same interpretation for Slendy. Your Slendy does NOT always have to be the same thing as every other Slendy. He's flexible and there's no canon, so almost everything from him being an Operator-like killer that puts people's organs in bags to a fear-eater that just prefers to observe his prey is valid. What is YOUR interpretation of the being? Use that and think of what scenarios can arise from it. Give your Slendy his own character and use it. Same with the Rake, although he's a little less flexible.

Thanks for the feedback!I'll try this, and I'll let my friend know.Heck,if we can get our imaginations working,we can probably introduce a new monster(Though I'm not sure how much that would effect other series).

If you're gonna introduce something new, try thinking outside the box. Maybe something original, or you could use a different Fear Mythos monster. There's also using other Creepypasta monsters instead. Brainstorm and see what you come up with.

That's what I was thinking.I was thinking we could come up with a new monster if all else fails.

*looks over your sig* Also, one last thing - try not to call any other series you do "X Hornets" with X being the name of some mineral/rock/stone. That's way overdone to the point of parody. Wink

I agree with DarkShadows. I literally cringed when I looked at your signature.

And I don't use the word 'literally' lightly.

Woof muthaf**kas.

Obviously, the dog thing was... well it was something. Not to mention the torch, the fact that you could actually hear your mum calling you part way through one of the videos, and your 'Just woke up miles from civilisation' area was right next to a motorway and your home. I can tell from the videos that your very young (11-ish?) so you obviously can't travel amazingly far. However, you can get around that with simple editing. You run from middle of field to your house? Clip about a second out so it looks like you've cropped out a whole section of your run. All you've for to do is pant, and it looks convincing.

If the problem with your mom calling for you happens again, drop the audio for that. Just mute it. Then say Slendy did it.

Slendervlogs - blaming faceless forest creatures for audiovisual problems since 2009. Very Happy

That's what makes the Slenderverse so awesome and open source. It costs nothing to write a blog, and you can make a blog with the worlds shoddiest handheld camera.

A few times there, you saw something I didn't. you want me to know Slendy is there? Audiovisual distortion. With vlogs, the worse the quality (video wise) the better. 240p with 247 different effect layers on top with 9001% Lo-Fi? Brilliant.

That depends how close Slendy is though, Etreo. Don't just use a bunch of glitchy distortion because it's cool, use it to indicate 1) Slendy is present and 2) how close he is to your protagonist. For example, if he's 30 feet away in the treeline, don't have crazy insane static and glitching, maybe have a screen tear or a blur effect or some very subtle glitchy noise. If he's standing like right next to your protagonist, then you can have a ton of crazy crap happen. Use Slendistortion wisely, my friend, to get the effect you're looking for.

Don't take this the wrong way, SlenderMan101, but you're coming off as a slight bit defensive. None of us are trying to attack you here, so try not to take the snark too personally and instead take it for what it's worth. Smile

Don't fret, I do it too. I've never had an issue with accepting criticism, but I always sound defensive and miserable afterwards. It's not a big deal.

And I'm gunna agree with the whole lights things and your mom calling out (friends mom I should say) however, the more crtism you get and the more videos you make with increse you skills therefore making better videos. I'm rooting for you man and will keep my eye on this one. Good luck bro
