My First and Last Statment on the Matter

Hello, my name is BanishedZaber, alias Dr. Cairo, alias The Composer, and probably some other handle I'm forgetting. I was a member of this forum during Doc’s original tenure, I believe when I joined there were around 300 members. I chose to leave after Doc’s removal because of the blatant unfairness that I saw.

Let me explain something as clearly and succinctly as I can. My decision to support Doc after the theft of the forum had little to do with personal friendship, and it has little to do with why I support him now. I am aware that there are two sides to any story. Group A says this, Group B says this, and with only words to go on and no evidence, I remain neutral in this respect. What I do have, is the empirical evidence, of what I witnessed firsthand, and it is from that that I choose to base my judgment. So here’s what I saw happen, from the empirical perspective, from someone who was there.

There were calls for The Doctor to step down due to some drama on the part of moderation staff at the time. The Doctor refused to step down from the position because he created the forum and had poured his time and soul into making it a place Slenderverse fans could enjoy. It was his brainchild.

After the Doctor refused to step down, he suddenly found himself removed by force. As Zander and others have admitted, they illegally acquired the Doctor’s password and locked him out of his own home. That The Doctor had trusted these individuals, and for them to betray him on such a grand scale, is a travesty. I notice the terms “removed” and “kicked off” thrown around in many posts, but let’s be frank here; the proper terminology here is “stolen”. His account, his forum, and his work and effort, we’re STOLEN.

A similar effort to what I see today was made at the time to reinstate Doc, but alas the power grab was never reversed until now, where he finally managed to regain control of his account with Forumotion’s help. The end point being… the former moderators cannot take the moral high ground on this issue because THEY PLAYED THE COUP D'ETAT CARD FIRST. They stole the forum from him, and after asking for it back nicely, he ultimately had to resort to stealing it back. And now that they've had a taste of their own medicine, they can’t stomach it.

This was, in my eyes, a matter of fairness and justice. I regret that things were handled so theatrically, but given the stress and trauma Doc dealt with at Zander & Co. hands, I can’t really hold it against him. I take partial blame for not advising him against it, but we’re all human and only have 20/20 in hindsight. I realize this post will probably do little to change minds or hearts, but I’ve said my piece. I look forward to working with you all to repair the community and build it higher than it’s ever been before.

That's pretty much my thoughts on it. I really don't care who is in charge, it's a forum for gods-sake. . It was taken from him, and he was the one who made it, he got it back. End of story. *shrug*

Guys, let's keep the past in the past. What has the Doc done wrong since he's returned? Nothing. Let's all just give the guy a second chance. Hell, he's probably changed over the past year or so.
