Studying abroad Empty
PostSubject: Studying abroad   Studying abroad EmptyWed Mar 13, 2013 10:27 am

I'm thinking about studying abroad, in the US, L.A. to be more specific.
I live in Sweden now and I've never really been abroad without a family member before.

I've also never flown earlier, any tips on what to do on the plane?

What's the pros and cons with studying abroad? If anyone here's done that.

If anyone's studied abroad, what thing are important to think of before departure?

Thankful for answers.
Cheers!

I've heard that studying abroad, well, broadens your horizons. It also gives you an extensive understanding of international education.

I've never flown on a plane before, but I've heard it's a really great experience.

So you wouldn't be going as an exchange student, but start studding a whole degree ..? Umm. Both opinions are possible and recommendable, but going as an exchange student would be more easy at first, I guess?

Get as much information of the school/place that would be the one. More you know, the better. All of my friends who have been studding abroad have enjoyed it. You get different opportunities there and can improve your language skills like a boss.

When a plane is landing & departing: chewing gum. Also: dress comfortably (loose sneakers, t-shirt, loose sweater) because when you're on plane you'll be just sitting for hours, sleeping and watching some movies.

It's only for 11months so it won't be for that long, and I'm thinking about studying some more back in sweden afterwards. Unless I'm too sick of it by then. Razz

Another question, do they allow mp3's and such on planes?

Aah. ^_^

Yes, mp3 players are totally ok. You also can listen radio/the movie sounds from the seat. But having own music or game consoles is ok. Also being at airports is mostly only waiting and waiting and getting though security check and waiting... Aah. :''D
