What if Slender's model, the humaniod, isn't him? Following some games and pictures, he has tentacles that move. If the tentacles are the real Slender, that'd be weird.

Welcome to SN! You should really think about making an introduction topic, so we can all get to know you a little better.

One thing, it's something of a pet peeve when people refer to him as Slender. He has a trilLion or so aliases, slender is not one of them. Wink

I'd comment on your theory, but I've just got back in the verse after 4 months so I'm really not the best person to comment.

Welcome to the Nation! I have had similar thoughts before. In the original mythos Slenderman was said to frequently impersonate humans and change his physical height and dimensions. This made me think, that if he has certain shape shifting abilities, maybe we have yet to see his "true" form?

I have often considered that the humanoid Slenderman is a disguise, and that he may have a different 'true' form. It's cool to think about. But I'd rather never see it, and keep Slenderman mysterious. That's where a lot of his fear factor comes from, not understanding him.

Right, but maybe we have become to used to his current form. Maybe we need to see something more primal or at least allude to it, to recapture people's imagination and fear? Of course changing Slenderman fundamentally would not be the intention, but rather giving him another layer, that remains untouched and "unexploited" by the likes of youtube parodies and video games. In depictions of Slenderman in forests he is often much more organic with tree like limbs and long tentacles. I have often thought of this as being closer to his true form
