Rent-a-Revenant

Right, after seeing Redlight successfully be declared open for public use, I've decided to do the same with the Revenants. If I make things more clear about them and let people "rent them out", it prevents misuse.

Also, to anyone who dislikes the Revenants; I really feel ya. Not at all fond of them. But I have to live with the mistakes I made. And at least if they're getting organised, there'll be less shark-jumping in the future.

RULES

1. Contact me here or at my Slendermail (hisreach@gmail.com) just to let me know you're taking one out for a spin.
2. The vast majority of Revenants are inhumanly strong, fast, accurate, agile, etc. No other powers.
3. Most of the Revenants are OOC unnamed. When you rent one out, send me a name to give them.
4. There are only 42 Revenants at a time. If (by some bizarre twist of fate), they are all rented out at once, one has to either die or be de-Slenderised before you can rent out another. NOTE: Active Revenants who have joined the Runners are still part of the 42. They all draw their power from a central source through icky stuff put inside them by Slender Man. Their numbers are capped at 42 because the more Revenants there are, the more the power is divided between them and the less powerful they are.

These lists show all the Revenants and who is currently renting them out. The current leader of the Revenants is Eulogy. Named Revenants also have some information on them.

That's an interesting offer you put forward. I may take it at some point ( it all depends on whether my blog has a week left to go or a few months...long story)

As for a form damage control...well, it might work. But then again it is chaotic fiction (and boy does it live up to the name ), so there really is no control, or very little once the story gets moving and ideas get circulated (although I'm probably wrong in that line of thought). But keeping an order of the Revenants is a good idea, and probably makes it more cohesive as a whole.

So... now that the Revenants don't exist, what happens now? Is this over?

Yeah, I'm wondering the same thing. They probably aren't gonna be used anymore.

Well, it's the nature of chaotic fiction that people can disagree with me. If other people want to keep using Revenants and disagree with my "revelation", that's cool, and they're still welcome to use this facility

I like lists. Lists like this make me want to include a revenant in my blog, even though it would be horribly out of place. I just like making character blurbs. Especially if the blurbs go onto a list.

And I think that even those who agree with the revelation could still use revenants if they want. I mean, just because Reach realized what was going on doesn't mean the rest of the revenants did (unless he posted again and something along those lines happened). There are still people out there who believe they're supernaturally awesome. That could make an interesting story arc.

The OP has been updated with new Revenants, as well as to reflect the change in leadership; since Eulogy died at the end of WYAITD, Legacy is now the leader.

OK, I've got the histories of Glorius and Acedia worked out. They think that they both sought out Slender Man after losing their families in the September 11 attack, and met each other and became lovers while in his service-- but in reality they were dating before being brainwashed, and were basically taken off the street only a few months ago.
