As much as I am on the fence with this premise, I will believe this when I see the first trailer. (I have heard too many rumors of movie rights being purchased for interesting franchises/fictions and still waiting to see years after said purchase).

I don't think I've ever seen a movie that was based on a video game franchise that wasn't either

a.) Painfully unnecessary
b.) Complete and utter garbage
c.) An obvious attempt at a cash grab

or 

d.) All of the above

I don't believe this will qualify as an exception. They're just scraping the bottom of the barrel at this point.

I really dislike the idea of them trying to make a movie out of this. The only way the plot can be good to me is if they made it about the very beginning of the story, back at the Diner where the first childen was murdered.
I believe they should offer roles to the Let's Players that made the series popular (markiplier, RT, Game Grumps, Jacksepticeye, etc.) that would be fair to me.

Call me crazy, but I think there IS some potential for this. What they need to make sure they do is... 

1. Really tap into the fear of cute inanimate objects coming to life. That's what made the first one so scary. 

2. Keep the element of comedy. As atmospheric as the games are...those phone messages are HILARIOUS. 

3. Put some effort into it. This being Hollywood, this is highly unlikely, but...I can hope.

I feel like it could be a way better version of Child's Play (never been a big fan of Chucky, not because it was scary but because it always felt cheap to me) but obviously more Chuck-E-Cheese-esque. Inanimate humanoid figures coming to life and attempting to kill? Especially when it's based on a game series that has been as deep and well-crafted as FNaF? Count me in.

This is going to be hard to be honest.

For sure, in order for it to be good, Scott Cawthon is probably the best writer for the film version. Also, the fact this came out in the matter of months makes it kinda too fresh in a sense.

On the other hand, it should not be that big of a budget, so at least it's doable financially.

I'm done. This is just milking success at this point. As a fan of FNaF, I want it to just be over. I don't see how it can be any good. I could be wrong, though. I was about Always Watching.
