The Cult of The Slender

Hey guys I am extremely new to the forum but since I found marblehornets I have to say slender man is the best monster to ever exist.

Now down to the problem, I have wanted to make an arg but felt like I'll be attacked as a marblehornets wanna be.

So today I was thinking on what I could do it about and have come up with the cult of the slender. Right now I would have them wearing masks similar to totheark from marblehornets except without paint to be as faceless as possible, also they would be wearing all black. They also have a symbol like the operator except it is an eye like this and inside the pupil are clock hands which represent watching and the time forgotten when slendy is around.

So far the set up is my friend hears about a cult meeting up, or possibly since I live in a deserted part of the city I notice people gathering and we follow them eventually crashing the cult meeting and inciting their wrath. I also feel that the cult should be the villain until extremely late in the series where slendy could surprise by greeting his followers and possibly making them disappear.

Anyway I would love to get feedback and any ideas I am open to as this is very early in the development process.

Seeing as you gave away all major plot points, you better have some fine tricks up your sleeve. Basing it off marble hornets as much as you are is forgiveable if you can find your own originality in another point of the series.
I suggest you have really good actors and effects. Or a gripping story.

My series started abysmally. I know what to look out for now. I wish you lick on your vlog. I actually would like to see this if you do it right.

The series Dark Harvest has a Slendy cult with white Guy Fawkes (?) masks. Your idea sounds rather similar actually but that doesn't mean you can't still make something unique out of yours.

Dreams In Darkness also used the Slender-cult angle. Of course, while it can help to find inspiration in what other people have already created, definitely make sure not to copy them too closely and bring your own original ideas into whatever you may end up doing :]

Definitely good advice. I am glad I took this question and idea to a knowledgeable site before attempting this. Be sure I will watch the entirety of these series before a real compelling plot is made.
Right now I think the way I should write this is flesh out the characters so that they are "real" and see what they would do in the situations.
Also as a final note I have a gas mask and am wondering if anyone would be interested in his inclusion as a character?
