Re-starting a blog Empty
PostSubject: Re-starting a blog   Re-starting a blog EmptySat Sep 08, 2012 8:00 am

So, about a couple months ago I started my first slenderblog ("Hey, are you there?", for those that care - probably not). It was going pretty well, I got about 1 fifth of the way into the plot of it, but then Real-Life crap got in the way, and it fell to the wayside.

However, now, with all that stuff outta the way, I'm free to start it back up again. But with the huge gap in the postings, it would be tricky to continue from where I left off. So, I'm going to restart the blog from scratch. What I came here to ask you was, how would the best way to go about that be? Delete all of the posts and start again? Delete the whole blog? Or is there a completely different way I could go about it?

I'm really looking for some help here, so thanks in advance for any advice.

(On another note - would any mods be able to delete my old trailhead? It seems weird to have one if I'm going to rewrite the whole thing)

[It depends; where are you hosting the blog at?]
[I personally believe it would be easier to delete and then re-do everything, so you don't spend two hours deleting everything post-by-post.]

Sure, I can probably do something about your other post. But yeah, I'd figure it would be easier to just wipe everything entirely and get a fresh start. I feel like it's better not to leave any remnants behind, if you get my drift?

If you don't really feel like completly destroying all your work there is another way. Slender Man has made people disappear for quite some time before. So you can work that into your story if you wish.

Yeah, completely. I think that's what I'm going to do, delete the blog, create a new one, and restart from scratch.

KingXana, I like the idea, but I think if I were to do such a thing with my blog, it wouldn't sit right with me unless I had some adequate foreshadowing for it (some cryptic warning, or some earlyer craziness - I always imagined him as taking only those he has driven insane already)

Thanks for the help with my dilemma. I'll get right on it.
