Slender Man Animation?

For this topic I have a few questions, so let me break it down a little.

Would anyone be interested in a Slender Man Vlog that was an animated series or would it lose all its appeal because it would be obvious that it was fake?

If there is interest in this idea, is there anyone who is interested in collaborating, maybe supplying the animation and working together to create such a thing?

If I did end up creating something like this, what advice would you give to not make it suck and do the mythos injustice?

I have mixed feelings on this. On one hand, a animated series could be pretty good, depending on the style. Normal animation might be good, or japanese anime style would be kind of strange. On one hand there have been disturbing anime's that were creepy (higurashi. Not even once). On the other hand, the sense of realism is what makes most vlogs scary. If its animation, then it takes away from the immersion because it doesn't look real. If it had a good story, it would probobly be more focused on story and characters then the horror, because it just wouldn't be as scary. We all know marble hornets is fake, but the acting like its real is part of its horror. An animation is about as obvious fakeness would make it a lot less scary IMO

I think it would be OK, so long as you made it clear from the outset that you were not trying to create an atmosphere of realism, it would set people at ease. Could be a good opportunity to mix some comedy into the slendersphere.

I am sure a thread on this exists. But just in case I'm wrong, I'll say that I'm all for it, especially if the animation is solid.

Well I, tha plane landed and when I came out
there was a dude look like a cop standin' there with my name out
'I ain´t trying to get arrested yet, 'I just got here'
I sprang with the quickness like light has disappeared

I whistled for a cab and when i came near,
The license plate said 'Fresh',
And had dice in the mirror,
If anything i could say that this cab was rare,
But I thought 'Nah, forget it - Yo, home to Slend-Air!'

I pulled up to the house at bout seven or eight,
I yelled to the cabbie 'Yo home, smell ya later!'
I looked at my kingdom,
I was finally there!
To sit on my throne as the prince of Slend-Air!

Yeah, it could be like a regular one or you could have a whole set of new opportunities like you could set it based around a small girl and her parents not understanding her drawings and this "Man" she says comes to visit her. She could be taken to a psychiatrist.

By focusing more on the story you could create endless possibilities that would be very hard to create using real actors and the limited supplies most of us have. Yes, immersion would be lost but new avenues of fear could be explored.

Someone needs to contact the guy making that slenderman movie. I think this thread will improve his movie more then he could ever dream.
