SN YouTube Series: Case Files

Yes, I'm bringing this back.

As you can see from that link, we previously had an idea. An idea of making a series to allow free-form creation in the form of a vlog series about Slender Man. The basis behind these "Case Files" was fairly simple, as touched on in the first video, Origins.

"There are many other cases that have come into existence as more have seen him, some writing their experiences and survival on the net, and some recording videos of themselves in case something were to happen to them.

Recently we've recovered some footage and stories that had yet to surface. We feel that it's our place to speak for the victims, for those whose voices have yet to be heard."

The premise being, this unnamed group had acquired more stories in different forms about victims/people who were being stalked by Slender Man, and they allowed them to be seen for the public eye.

Now with the actual content of it, we wanted people to create submissions for the series that could be used to test out their ability to make little "Slendershorts", or allow them to create different mini-series to run through the channel, an example of what I'm talking about would be, say for instance an individual had made a submission to us and it was labeled #1-1. If they wanted to come back and make a sequel to it, or continue on with extensions of the first video, they could continue with that line of films being labeled #1-2, 1-3, etc. Or if someone wanted to make a single video, it could be labeled Case File #2, so each new story leads to a higher count like that, in an effort to keep them organized.

Our problem was that no one had gotten around to actually making anything for it. The idea didn't take at the time, but I really feel there's some untapped potential here. Hence why I'm bringing it back up. To see if anyone would be interested and able to do so this time around. Even though the first video is on the Slender Nation YouTube channel, I was thinking of possibly making an entirely new one for it to help with any immersion, and I plan on redoing the Origins video for the new channel with more content and less of a raspy voice trying to talk at 4AM.

So, that's the idea. Any takers?

Would we be writing stories for you all and someone does video-editing for it (such as pictures and the like) later, or do you want people to make the videos themselves and then send it in?

Right, I guess I didn't make that entirely clear.

We would prefer people make their own videos to send in, though I may help if possible, even if I'm a bit limited in resources. If you submit a written story or something like that(such with a blog, or excerpts from a journal of a victim), we'll do a telling of that. Or if you simply wanted to do something strictly audio, you can do that as well. It's mainly a way to encourage free-form storytelling of different encounters with Slender Man and a way to provoke creativity and give people a method to do so.

Alright, sounds good. I'd do something like a re-enactment of a Slender attack, but I lack the resources unfortunately.

I might do something audio-based if I get the time.

I'd be happy to get mostly anything. Just try not to make it too derpy is all I ask, really.

Sounds pretty cool. While reasing the first post I had an idea to make a sort of SCP style wiki with each case file, a breakdown and maybe have other users crossover stories between them using reports of local law enforcement similar to the SCP reports attached to each SCP# that sometimes crossover multiple SCP cases. lets see if i can fit SCP into this post one more time..
But seriously looks really interesting and its a shame I have nothing more then windows movie maker at my disposal otherwise I would give it a shot.

Heck, I'd say give it a shot anyway. I'm not expecting the best effects, but as long as you have a passible Slender Man or some idea of what to do, I'd gladly take it. If you need any help, I can offer up story ideas or advice.

And yeah, I kind of had the classification idea for the Files come from that, but if someone wanted to attach police files to their video(s) then that'd be pretty cool too.

Wow remo! what i was thinking, being a SCP and a slenderman fan myself. 582 of course will be the one, but it can only be used if the idea there are more then one slenderman. If you need help on those contact me! Ill be giving you guys stories to work on. Where should i put them?

You can send them to me in a PM for now. I still need to set up the new channel, but if you have any stories I can do readings of for it, or if you want to suggest things to film, give it to me and I'll toss them in my bin for future use.

If anyone needs help editing, I'm willing to help. Although I'm limited in the special effects I can do, as after effects isn't working for me right now.
