Hannah nodded and shifted awkwardly. They had both changed, but did that mean that they couldn't go back to how they were as children, like two corresponding puzzle pieces? She sighed heavily.
"Where do we go from here?"

A yip comes from behind, showing the fox that Hannah had previously met, to be staring at her and Alex.

Alexander started from his thoughts, giving the fox a cautionary glance as he teetered on the edge of simply telling Hannah everything that had happened to him over the last few years. He finally settled with, 'Well, that's your decision.'

Hannah turned at the yelp. Kamilla! She ran over and knelt down, wrapping her arms around her and burying her face into her coarse fur. After a long embrace, she looked up to Alex. He was still so gentle, so sweet around her, despite his.. Snack. She shuddered and returned her face to Kamila's coat.

Alexander nibbled his lip nervously, suddenly feeling very alone as he watched Hannah and her furry friend. He immediately returned his gaze to his feet when she glanced at him, shame colouring his cheeks a pale pink.

Hannah sat down on the ground, pulling Kamilla into her lap and cuddling her to her chest. Her gaze was drawn back to Alex. The blush staining his cheeks would have been adorable had she not been afraid of him.

But did she fear him? Sure, it had been terrifying at the time, but, looking back at it, it wasn't too bad.. Sort of. She creased up her nose, thinking.

Alexander stood uncomfortably, his shoulders hunched and arms crossed over his chest as he kicked absently at the ground, scuffing his shoes in the process. Louis wouldn't have dreamed of doing such a thing, but he wasn't here to remind him any more.

Alexander's head jerked up in sudden realisation, his hair falling across his eyes as he considered the empty road. Louis' body had disappeared along with the car, leaving Alexander feeling all the more lonely. At least he'd felt his brother was still there, somewhere.

Hannah narrowed her eyes, studying Alex. He looked so lonely, and she was sure he wouldn't hurt her for the moment.. But would he end up causing her pain? There was only one way to find out.

"Alex," she said softly, moving Kamilla over and extending her arms towards him. "Come here."

Alexander peered at Hannah from under his fringe, not bothering to try and tame the dark strands as his eyes glittered from the shadows. He took a few hesitant steps, nibbling at his bottom lip as he drew closer. With a small sigh he slipped into her arms, resting his head on her shoulder as he sat cross-legged on the cold concrete.

Hannah wound an arm around Alex's midsection and began to work her fingers through his hair with her spare hand. Pressing her face into the crook of his neck, she closed her eyes tightly and tried to ignore the faint scent of salt and rust that still hung on Alex's breath. She was glad that Slender Man had been leaving them alone; she was positive that if he had caught Alex.. Well, let's just say it wouldn't have been pretty.

Alexander's heart slowed as he breathed in Hannah's scent, his hand wrapped in her coat absently as he considered what was possibly the most horrific night of his life. 'Sorry,' he mumbled hoarsely, eyes closing beneath his fringe.

Hannah nuzzled Alex's ear with her nose, trying to provide some comfort. Kamilla hopped off of her lap, which let Hannah hug Alex closer to her. She smiled a little. "At least Slender Man isn't around." She murmured quietly.

Alexander stiffened, raising his head slowly so he could peer at Hannah from behind a curtain of hair. 'Why, what would he do?'

Hannah looked away from Alex, blushing brightly. What was she supposed to say? That she was Slender Man's little pet? That he watched over her? Embarrassment rendered her silent.

'Hannah,' he whispered absently, burying his face in her neck. 'You were the girl Louis threatened, weren't you?' He wrapped his arms around her waist, stroking her spine through her clothes.

Hannah bit her bottom lip and nodded slowly. She ran her fingers through his hair like the tines of a comb, tucking strands behind his ear absent mindedly. "How did you know about that?"

'Apparently there was a button camera in his jacket, Louis was seen threatening a girl who had apparently been helping him, then you turn up when I'm in the middle of a hostage negotiation, knowing who he was.' He gave a little shrug. 'Logic, really.'

"Hmm." she murmured, nestling her head down on his shoulder. "He cut me a little, but it was nothing major. Just a nick to the neck." Shrugging, Hannah twirled a lock of hair around her fingertip.

'That would explain this,' mumbled Alexander, tracing a barely healed scar along her neck with his soft lips. He kissed it gently, snuggling against her to gain some warmth.

Hannah shivered a little, snuggling tight to Alex's body. After a moment of silence, she finally told him something that had been in her head since she saw him.
"They destroyed our treehouse."

Alexander sighed deeply, wrapping a strand of Hannah's hair around his index finger absently. 'And that's the cherry on top of this nightmarish cupcake.'

Hannah wrinkled her nose at the image, running her hand to rub the back of Alex's neck. Fighting off a yawn, she smiled faintly, gazing off into the distance behind him. "That was the best summer of my life."

Slenderman appears behind John Grabs him and Takes them both to the wrecked car. "My work here is done" He says as he removes himself from the area.

John, confused as to where he was looked around to see Hannah and Alexander, his stomach sunk as he saw the latter. He saw the wrecked car, he looked back at the other two and shrugged at them to ask what happened to the car. He wanted to get his stuff back, the USB and the documents were still in the bently.

Dropping out of mid-air, a bag lands near John with his stuff.
"Here - Luminen" says a note attached to the bag
