Oh I totally missed these. The distortion sounds pretty musical. Has it always been like that in this series and I've just missed it? It's a nice change from wanting to tear my ears off in some other series.
Masked guy- a proxy? I'm not a fan of cults so I hope so.

Older update and.....
Whew. Here at last, the season finale for Trial of Leaves: “Deliverance”. The amount of work put forth to get this done blows my mind and I really hope you enjoy the results. Sit back, take a deep breath, hell, even live react, and revel in what I think is our best episode yet. The only way to go is up and looking at how far we've come, I am truly stunned. Happy Valentine's Day

Well, I have to say this has quickly become one of my favorite series. Just, damn! I liked it from the start and this latest entry... I was not expecting that. Well done! You guys really did a fantastic job creating a sense of wonder in that creepypasta/horror sort of way.
I think another really fun thing that pulled me in and keeps me coming back is the characters and the initial concept for them posting a vlog. My own friends and I love going out into the woods hiking or even just walking around our town late at night and having random conversations about stuff. And at some pont we toss around what would happen if something supernatural happened how'd we react. So to have a series that are those themes just helps me get immersed into this story.

Thank you so much. Yeah we really worked hard to make the series extremely relatable.

I didn't even expected the rake to appear.

It's a really well done episode. Especially it has been a while since I had done a Slendersearch. Josiah, your work is truly refreshing and it has been a while since I had watched a Slenderverse video outside of the Big 5.
It reminded me a bit of the Fog World from Silent Hill.

Thank you. It means a lot. Silent Hill was definitely an inspiration. (Hear the siren? heheh)

I also like how the O-symbol painting was used in a similar manner as the sigil/magic circle in "Silent Hill: The Room". (Not saying that concept was taken from that if that isn't the case, I just happen to be watching an LP around the time of watching this latest entry). Also the Rake surprised me when he made an appearance. It gave things a more escalated matter.
As an aside, are spoiler moments to these entries allowed if we are discussing scenes from the entry. Like say speculation about the ending?

Yeah I'm fine with it if you begin the post by saying it'll have spoilers.

A question regarding Fears used in the series. I saw on the wiki that the Black Dog or "Fear of Guilt" is supposedly in the series? Was that supposed to be represented by the dog in Josiah's house when Nathan is searching for him and finds the painting? or is it something else I may have missed? I know there were some other dogs in the background but aside from Slenderman, his proxies and the Rake, I never noticed any other supernatural or out of place things.
Also, by the way, we are discussing Trial of Leaves in next weeks Al Dente Rigamortis Episode to finish of Slendermonth 2016. I really enjoy the show and wanted to touch on it sooner or later.

So with the new entry posted (the plot thickens!) I have another question or two: Has Justin become a Fear Mythos Sorcerer? I know he's been doing some reading in books and been prepping between encounters but was their any other hints to this prior to this latest entry? has it been on a twitter feed or some other ARG method? or is it just insinuation through the posted videos?
I guess we'll learn more in Black Leaf Falls...
