Memories- TTA

Umm... well fuck. I'm trying to decode the message in the description. It's 11 though. So forum shuts off now. If I get it I'll let you know tomorrow.

Am I the only who notices the drastic change in style that TTA has undergone? These latest ones are far more...hmm...I dunno. They're just very different than the TTA of Season 1.
I can't tell if that's on purpose/saying something or if it's just unintentional style evolution. Either way, I can't really tell if I like it or not. To me this felt more Tribes than Marble Hornets.

The distortion at :10 is straight from a prop-plane. Weird sound effect to have here. More than anything it's just that the distortion in this video isn't really consistant with the typical MH distortion style...

I'm not really creeped out by this, but I am sort of...confused? Slightly unsettled by the change in our beloved TTA? Hmm...

And what was with the weird star-eyed guy? Is that supposed to be Sinclair? The recent introduction of these sketchy elements are also relatively new. Old TTA used to use purely video footage, for the most part. The video two(?) entries back, with the sketched landscape and what not is an even different drawing style than this one here.

Maybe I'm simply looking too hard...

I noticed it too. I'm personally of the opinion that maybe Timasky was TTA for season 1. Now that he's got a broken leg and can't keep track of Jay and Alex, Sinclair has taken up the mantle as both Masky and TTA for Tim until Tim gets better. So the only question from that is: WHO IS SINCLAIR?!

((or of course, Tim=Masky=TTA is bullshit so really, Mabye the TTA from season 1 just passed on the task to a new TTA?))

The eye-things look like Sinclair's mask.... *shudders*

I wonder who this is talking about, though? Years wasted... Makes me think this is talking to Alex.

Maybe he's not dead after all!...

... Or he is, and TTA is just making fun of him.

EDIT: Hey, could the footage of the bench and the pole-thing (the one that has the drawing on it) be at Alex's house? It looks similiar to Entry #1.

Also, some guy on Youtube said that the code in the description translates to "54321". Not sure if I trust him, but it seems to be a countdown... Uh-oh...

When put in a hex translator, you get 54321, so I'm guessing it's a countdown to whatever's coming up.

One thing I noticed is that the footage seems to be taken from Alex's house most evident from the bench that was also seen in entry 1

I'm honestly starting to dislike TTA's new "style", it's rather........aggressive where as his old ones were cryptic and less direct.

I think TTA is trying to tell us that lives have been taken.

And is possibly talking to Jay when it says

I've got to admit, I like this style as much as his old one. His original videos were very mysterious and left a lot to interpretation, and that can seem way more menacing at times. However, they sometimes leave way too much to interpretation. People would spend so much time trying to decode and figure out any "hidden messages" in TTA's videos that they would lose a good portion of their mystique and cease to frighten someone if they dug too deep into it. Granted, some videos DID have hidden messages, but nothing that would reveal what's going to happen in a huge detail, which is what most of the people decoding the videos were looking for.

This new, more straightforward approach has pros and cons as well.

With being more forward and obvious, you can really sense the menace TTA is conveying to Jay. His two recent videos are evidence of that. Personally, these last two videos have scared me far more than any of his others. I guess I'm just more frightened by direct malice than quiet and subtle anger. Now, these videos are not perfect, by any means. Direct interaction and clear messages leave the ARG hunter in all of us starving a little. Yes, the small, hidden messages still persist, however we now have everything that TTA wants us to know, we need not hunt and search for it.

Okay, review ending, I swear. In conclusion, this new approach TTA is taking has great potential for fear. We shall see, I guess.

What Doc said, basically. TTA owns and always will as far as I'm concerned.

Y'know, I hadn't even thought about it before, but now that you mention it... Yeah, I guess totheark's videos have been different this season compared to season 1.

Personally it doesn't really bother me. They're still creepy and weird, just not in quite the same way as before.

Anyway, I did think that it was referring to Jay here. My first thought was that perhaps he did find something during the seven months, but that since he's forgotten everything it's set back... whatever is going on. Or maybe just the fact that it's been two years and Jay still hasn't really learned anything about what's going on here.

Hasn't most of TTA's videos been an attempt to mindfuck the shit out of Jay and make him remember/think on things he had done (e.g. the 'You've been keeping secrets' quote which then sparked him to make a video talking about what he had been doing for the last few months).

I personally think that Jay had done something to Alex.

I'm sure something happened to Alex, since Jay ends up with the chestcam. I'm not so sure Jay did it, but this being Marble Hornets I certainly wouldn't rule anything out.

Of course, that could imply that totheark has been around since 2006... except that they probably would have tried to get Jay to watch the tapes sometime sooner. I don't know, I'm just thinking that they wouldn't consider it wasted time unless they were around and waiting for... whatever to happen. Eh, I'm rambling, I don't really know what I'm talking about right now. Ignore this.

This might also be about how Slenderman/TheOperator apparently started stalking Alex when he was a child. Thus "Years Wasted" could refer to that. Or any number of things really.

Alternatively: years wasted could refer to the time since Jay started this whole thing.

But seriously. I think it'd be something to do with the tapes. Obviously something HUUUUUUGE has been overlooked within them to have our loving TTA to continuously badger the holy heck out of Jay to say "dude....Check again".
That's a likely thing given the "It's staring you in the face / You've missed something" nature of the video with the baby doll.

Two years hardly seems grand enough to refer to as "time wasted". I think I'll stick with my "Jay's had the stinkin' tapes since" '06. Besides which, totheark has been basically saying that Jay's doing it wrong from the start.

Though I still do like the theory that they're referring to the time that Jay had the original MH tapes and didn't do anything with them. I do also think two years is kind of a long time to be have all this be going on and still not have really found anything out, so I can see that too. Or it could be talking about that whole time since this all began, because altogether it's been five years since they were shooting the Marble Hornets film.

Two years without a lot of answers sounds fairly short and merciful compared to how long crap like this tends to drag in a lot of other Cthulhu-esque stories.

Considering this was posted on the two-year anniversary and Jay even tweeted that he couldn't believe it's been two years and he wished he never took Alex's tapes, I'd go with the 2 years being time wasted. dshfjksdh
