If it wasn't for all the 'hint-jessica-is-Slender-man-victim-hint' dialogue at the end, I'd seriously suspect that Jay was just going mental at this point.

^Yeah, that could've gone so much better. I know they are trying to make the characters feel real but it just feels like it is draaaaaaagging on to get to a relateable point. I feel like it is trying to be human but just isn't quite there yet, but I hope they continue. The worse bit was HEY! HEY YOU! HEY! HEY HEY! HEY YOU! Nothing... That was laughable. I'd have come up with something to say, like "Hey, sir! Do you have the time, my phone died." Instead, J decides to just yell at him.

As for the hints about Jessica, I think it could still go either way. I mean, asking him if he's alright and having memory lapses isn't completely uncalled for considering we all know he did say he was at the hotel because his house was being renovated. Changing his story seems odd with or without proper context. As for her snappy-ness... I mean, if I was staying at a hotel and my current neighbour was some stranger always carrying around a camera and knocking on my door, I'd be annoyed and weirded out too.

I wish they would be more subtle about Jessica possibly being on the same boat as Jay.

I'm disappointed - no Slendy! And is it just me, or is there a lack of plot progression here?

Well, that was a slendisappointment.

Don't get me wrong, I have a deep and abiding love for Marble Hornets, and a sincere respect for their work which I lack for pretty much every imitator. Nonetheless, if this was a new series right now, beginning at Entry 27, I would be barely interested.

I would be complaining that these slendernewbs should probably take some acting lessons (a complaint I would have only once fired at season 1, and one that we should never be making about a series crafted by film majors) and that the plot was dragging along in a boring and repetitive rut.

The reason I'm still watching each entry with baited breath is because we know that these are not slendernewbs. They are the most slendervet of us all, and have delivered many times before. If we give them a chance to do so, they will likely deliver again.

For now, this video makes me SRSFACE. The whole season so far lacks fear (except for one obligatory distortion video), lacks plot buildup, lacks subtlety and lacks Slender Man. In the unlikely event that Troy and friends ever read this website, we are expecting more from our biggest idols at this point. Would a little fan service kill you?

Fingers crossed that the next entry actually gives us something to analyze, because my notepad right now is alarmingly blank.

Agreed. There was nothing scary. I just kinda went, "Oh, Jessica knows something. Woopdy-frickin-doo." and went on with my life.

I spent 8 of my 15 minutes that I get to spend at home before work on this? I was expecting something more...meaty? Hardy? Better? So, Jessica is getting paranoid too and has something going on with that-which, to be honest, I think there could have been a better way to deliver that information. It seemed a bit awkward.

And now that I've wasted all the time I have at home before leaving for work on something more noteworthy I can't go and post in other boards. Nice, thanks for that MH-I love you guys too.

idk about you guys, but I'm kinda liking this angle as well as season 1. Season 1 was basically an intro to slendy and what he does. Seasn 2 is kind of the "In Between the Lines" aspect of MH. It shows what's going on with J as he tries to piece together the last 7 months of his life. Yes, there has been a lack of slendy, and I do miss him, however I also like watching as J slowly grows more and more paranoid with the people in the woods, as well as Jessica. He can't leave his hotel without coming across something that could be TTA, Masky, or Slendy. He also can't stay in his apartment for fear of Jessica going masky on him and slitting some vital organ in his body in half during the night.

I for one, actually like this break we get from slendy, unlike another vidEo series that May Have let that go on for too long.

EverymanHYBRID seems to have stopped being a slenderseries.
Marble Hornets is still a mile better than that.
However, this feels a bit like stalling for time.

So much expectation has been riding on this comeback.
Usually sequels tend to disappoint for this reason.
Creating an impact upon restarting the series is important.
Kicking around the same storyline for four episodes is not really an impact.
So this, by comparison is kind of a let down.

I wish I would have checked to see if this was up, I could have shown my friend.

Are you guys kidding? Four entries into the last season and we barely knew anything. Let the guy take his time, he knows what he's doing. I enjoy the build-up. It makes for a longer series anyway. If we started where we left off, we would've had like another three entries and Jay would be dead.

Seems like everyone already hit the main ideas on the head. the Jessica thing i predictable, and the plot is moving slowly. It feels kind of awkward that J has kind of given up on finding out about the last seven months, and finding Alex. Not only that, but he never did figure out how to open the safe, which i figured he could ask an employee to open for him saying he forgot the code. I also wanna know who is funding his stay at this hotel.

ITA, TripleD. There's a lot that Jay could be trying to dig through, but we haven't seen any of it. That's something that could be interesting - seeing Jay work on various pieces of the puzzle. It would certainly create some variety...

Jessica's acting has gotten worse if at all possible, but that's about the only solid complaint I have.

That and I'm wondering what the hell is going on with that safe. But maybe he really just... forgot about it. Like he forgot about telling Jessica that he was staying at the hotel because his house was being renovated.

ANYWAYS. Can anyone figure out wtf Jay's saying at 3:18? Something away? Got away? I have no idea and he's probably just talking to himself, but it's bugging me.

I believe he says "its starting to rain" it makes sense since he quickly follows by looking up at the sky, and i think i see ripples in the water when he says it.

In terms of positive notes for the entry, I would say that I liked the dramatic buildup surrounding the hooded man. Too bad it looked like he was taking a leak in the woods at first. Anyway, I think we all expected either Masky, or for him to be faceless when he turned around. No such luck, but that does represent MH subtly reminding us that they still know how to fuck with our minds.

Psychologically based fear has always been a series mainstay, but I still withhold that they quite seriously need to get back down to business about it. It's not so much that I can't stand waiting four episodes to get to the good content, it's that I can't stand waiting through bad acting and a seemingly forgetful plot. Of course I thought this way back in Entry 15 as well, I just knew there were better things coming.

I cannot wait for such things to start coming again.

THANK YOU. Finally, my mind is put to ease.

I don't know if this is relevant or not but I just now noticed that at different parts of the video there's the weird cuts or creases in the picture that have appeared before in previous entries...

Could Slendy have been nearby but just kinda, I dunno, chillin' out or something. "Oh, I think I tormented him enough during the past seven months, I might as well lighten up before I rape him and leave him bleeding on the ground as my latest victim."

Or something to that effect.

In the description for the video I linked, Jay mentioned that it cuts strangely during the footage in the woods. He said he didn't know why that was. Today he re-uploaded the video and said in the description:

This kind of thing is generally OOG until proven otherwise.

It would be awesome if there was some kind of secret in the new video or "spot the differences" game however.
