WHAT. I seriously WHAT'd out loud so hard my dog woke up.
Godwin's law has been invoked guys. It's all over from here. How the hell do you come back from mention of Nazis? I seriously can't wrap my mind around why you would even mention that in a series. And here I thought that we were gonna have a pleasantly horrifying series that happened to involve some Jewish Americans of German descent without a single reference to the Nazis.

Remember Grandpa Carl, Noah can recover if he does it right, but it's going to be tough, as long as he doesn't end up fighting actual nazis there is still hope.

@Vivi: I thought Godwins Law was something that only applied when comparisons to nazis were made during arguments, not just when they get involved in a work of fiction. Technically, they were mentioned early not only by Karl but by a swastika on the box the journal was held in on the first observer-hijacking-twitpic.
I seriously doubt there will be nazi-fighting. That's Kamina and Jesus' job. I think this is just saying the since TT previously tied Slendy's history to WW2 Germany, that there's still more information from that era to be revealed this is relevant.

Godwin's Law applies to debates only. This is not a debate. =/
Seconding Zaber here. There is nothing inherently bad about Nazis (used in a story, that is), unless you like getting hung up about concepts rather then execution.

I conceed the part about Godwin's law only when it applies to debates. That wasn't really a good application of the term, but that's only semantics.
I'm not saying you cant make a good story happen using the concept of Nazis, I'm just not ever HAPPY to see it because it's so cliche and overused. It seems like in fiction today the best way to solidify an enemy's status is making them reminiscent of, sharing the ideas of, sharing the aesthetic of, or searching for the magical knowledge notebooks of Nazis. It's like they're the go-to format to verify villainy.
I'm not saying that's happening NOW, but I just find the whole concept highly distracting in most every usage in this day and age.

Could be worse. Noah could be scouring the world for an ancient temple where a more advanced race of beings with crystal skeleton's who collected artifacts from every period in earth's history are waiting for the final one to be completed with the return of it's skull while trying to escape natzis...

Well, they did kind of earn it. :T
I don't mind it so much, way back when I first saw the swastika on Karl's box I kinda figured the "nazis messing with the occult" trope wasn't too far behind. But it actually was kinda far behind. I'm glad he's going back and exploring the whole deal with Karl and the Germans instead of ass-pulling some new story element.

Calling it right now.
Seems to kind of fit in with a more small time Slendy series, Future Refused.
But anyways, I'm interested to see where this goes.

I am in love with your reaction. This is what I was hoping for and more. You have no idea how much you'll hate me, and then love me again. Trust me on this, I know what I'm doing. Fear not.

The Observer said he posted a picture of himself. I still haven't looked at it, lawl I've had the tab open since 11 o' clock (it's 16 o' clock now) but I just don't dare looking at the picture. Laugh Out Loud I'm scared of looking at the picture :D

http://twitpic.com/7dru1z It wasnt a big deal, just another one of those binary black/white photos with a guy with glasses or somesuch. Also tentacles and what I might venture a guess to be palm trees, and additional figures being absorbed into the collective.
I'm kind of excited to see what Noah says about all this when it's said and done.
I sorta flipped out about the Nazis, but I think I trust Adam to know what he's doing in this. It probably cant turn out so bad. I'm okay with it now.

I hope the observer baked Noah a cake so when he wakes up, he will smell thee cake. Ever wake up to the smell of cake? That's the only thing that might put him at ease after everything he went through...
-Noah wakes up- "oh fuck oh fuck oh....." *sniffs* "oooo cake..." And it was the best birthday ever... the end
