Podcast Feedback

Alright everyone, we have a new Podcast Crew set up. Thanks to the ones who applied and were approved, and apologies for the ones not chosen. We really appreciate your interest.

So anyway, we need suggestions! Which vlogs/blogs would you like us to cover? Please leave us a list of what you'd like to see reviewed in this thread. Just don't go suggesting your own series.

Thank you for the suggestions so far! Does anyone have any possible suggestions as far as blogs go?

Obviously I'd love to hear you guys talk about my work, but that seems...a bit overselling.

As for other works, I would love to hear your take on Happy Thoughts, if it hasn't been done before.

Although srsly, you do realize that if you start talking about blogs, you're going to have to probably read a novel or at least a novella before you can talk about them.

Of course, if you still want some suggestions, I'd be happy to offer them up for discussion.

Yeah, there's going to be a lot of reading but it should be worth it to give some blogs the credit they deserve.

Any and all suggestions would be good.

A thought I have is aside from Blogs and Vlogs, perhaps also covering ARG's in particular.

So everyone, please submit any questions you might have about Slender Man, Slender Nation, etc. that we can answer! Or ask us if you want us to discuss something. Anything really! Discuss Slender Man's origins, both the start of the mythos on SomethingAwful and the 'origin myth' of him being an ancient eldrich thing, etc.

I would like to see a discussion of the in-jokes and such of Slender Nation, In my time I have begun to notice a sub-culture Within the site and I think it would be cool to spend some time talking about things like the houses and the joke (Started partly by me and partly by BananaBrains and carried on by The Slenderfreak) about feeding Mr. Jeebles.

Okay that seems like a terrible idea for multiple reasons. First off, the podcast is supposed to be about mythos discussion at large, and it's meant to be accessible to people who aren't forum regulars or even part of SN at all. Including meaningless forum jokes would only make it more insular and be a way to shut people out instead, which is totally counteractive.

Also the "don't feed Jeebles" thing is NOT new, that's something that's been going on since before I even joined the forum. It used to be a fairly standard warning to the newbies back when he was more active around here. When I saw new people being welcomed with "don't piss off Banana" I was reminded of the old warnings, and (sorry Jeebs), I didn't want get the same kind of reputation as him. >_>; I don't think any of the people who are carrying on with this joke have even met him, which makes it kind of strange that they'd do that. So let's just give it a rest and let people (esp. staff) make their own introductions, huh guys?

Anyways I do like Alder's idea, because even in the time I've been involved in the mythos there's been a marked change in the way things are going. It would be really neat to document the change in that way!

Alright, we're going to start working towards the next podcast this week. Taken in some criticism of the last one and hopefully this one will be more to-the-ark-point in an actual review than before. So, we need series suggestions, or anything you'd like for us to discuss, or more feedback on the new podcast? Let us know here!

Not particularly, but we'll mention it as a sort of EMH update.

I would like to see some more stuff about the Fear Mythos.

As for Fear Mythos, we might cover that a bit in some blogs. We'll see how things turn out.

Right, I'm going to throw the gates open on this.

I'm keeping track of Slender Blogs for the podcast. Both to either mention for updates or maybe to even do a review of them. Except, the problem is, there's a lot of them. I stopped keeping track in about May of last year, and there were a few hundred then. There'd be even more hundreds, if not thousands of them out there by now. Whilst I have a few that I follow and keep an eye on, some more would be appreciated for varieties sake. Basically, I'm asking for you to give me blogs. Do note though:

• Not every blog will be covered during a blog updates, just a handful. Though I will try my beast to make sure it is varied across future episodes.
  
  
• Not every blog will be reviewed. Or if it does get a review, it may take some time to get to. We'll see how it goes.
  
  
• If it is your blog is reviewed, be prepared for criticism. We may love it to death, but there is also a chance we may find flaws with it. And remember, these will be the individual opinions of the members of the podcast crew, and not of Slender Nation as a whole.

So, if you've got a blog you'd like to share I'd suggest you PM it to me (or one of the other podcast crew to pass along, if I'm too scary), rather than fill this thread up with requests. Now go forth and give me some blogs to add!
