And now his unreliable narrator-ness is starting to show.
Or they really were just off-camera.
Or Jay is so deep in this he's seeing things that not even the cameras are able to pick up anymore. Tim may have been able to see them too, too bad he was up the tower at the time.

I feel like Operator will be seen soon - all these hallucinations and whatnot. Also, those tapes. This familiar feel.

I really hope Jay doesn't go insane. Least we need is a new proxy.
Go insane?

I sincerely never believed we'd get a resolution to the hole in the ground that spat out camera static during Jay's original visit to the tower

It is strange how there was some sort of distortion when Jay looked out the tower, though we haven't seen anything.
Also, that hole in the ground with the tapes... It is amazing how I forgot about it. When Jay first explored the tower, there was some static when he looked on the ground for a second.
And... these episodes are so anti-climatic! There is so much tease in the last episodes, seeming something HUGE might come up, but the next episode is just building some more and more and more, to get what?! When is something big happening again? It might just be the reason I love MH so much...

[internal screaming intensifies]
Spoiler:
Alex didn't give Jay all of the tapes.
Alex didn't give Jay all of the tapes.
Alex didn't give Jay all of the tapes.
Alex didn't give Jay all of the tapes.
Alex MUST have been hiding something more from Jay; something more extreme or dangerous. And maybe the tapes he gave him were just something to lead him to a certain point, going the whole way without coming across some gigantic piece of knowledge that exists in the half-burned tapes.

I don't know, that was pretty damn exciting on my part!

I thought this entry was pretty darn good. I mean, we're going back to the root of MH: strange tapes. The nostalgia alone from going back to old places is awesome in and of itself. However, you throw old, burnt tapes which most likely have more info on what happened back then is just feeding my old and cherished memories of MH, and I couldn't be more happy.

We know from the "Exit" Ark video that he was spying on the Marble Hornets cast even as it was first being filmed (I think it's been argued that the footage must've been filmed by Alex, but seeing as he was busy sneaking around bumping into The Op at the time I doubt it), and I've generally assumed it must've been TTA who hid the tape at the top of the red tower (it's possible Alex had personal reasons to hide rather than destroy it but it strikes me as unlikely) so I could well believe that the mystery man has been keeping tabs on things at least since Alex began cracking up for the first time and would know of the tape-burning

Let's hope it was actual raw footage of Marble Hornets and not more demonstrations of Alex's insanity. Even if it was something like that, it's not like we'll ever get to know now, eh?

Maybe the tapes will be from chronologically before Entry #2, which is when Alex first saw The Operator. Maybe he encountered The Operator before Entry #2 and wanted to destroy the evidence of a possible encounter before then?
