What is the scariest movie you've ever seen?

I've honestly never been significantly scared by any movies.  But one movie that really freaked me out when I was young is Phantasm.

Anything in the Guinea Pig or Human Centipede series.

Shock value is what gets me disturbed and terrified.

I like sci-fi horror, like Alien and The Thing. Those and a few other movies were really inspiring to me.

I'd have to say the scariest movie (to me) is still The Exorcist.
Supernatural stuff (demons, possession) does and always will freak me out.

At the time, probably 'The Blair Witch Project'. I really dug the found-footage format, and it was a relatively new-ish concept at the time (or at least this was the first time it really broke into the mainstream, stuff like Cannibal Holocaust doesn't really count as mainstream) and it actually frightened 9-year-old-me.

Nowadays, it takes a lot more to scare me than a bit of shaky camera work and crying. The most recent few movies I saw that actually scared me was the Saw franchise. It's the body horror. Other than that, the Japanese original version of 'The Ring' still manages to scare me, years after seeing it. Something about the dialogue being in a language I barely understand somehow makes rewatching it feel fresh.

I'm still terrified of The Blair Witch Project. The unknown frightens me on a long term, as opposed to generic horror movie pop-outs.

I would have to say that the movie that creeped me out the most when I was a kid was probably "Star Trek: First Contact."

I know I'm going to get laughed at, but the first Paranormal Activity film scared me so much I had to call my mom afterwards to tell me I was going to be okay.

Okay the movie that scared me the most was Lake Mungo which sounds really lame but oh my gosh there's something about the movie that just really scares me it's kind of cheesy and low budget but its earnest and raw? You get what I mean? Like oh my gosh. Genuinely scared me.

Another movie that was really scary but in a good can totally watch this was is the curse!!
