and no, everything is certainly not okay. as the camera pans up when tim falls to the ground coughing, what is that on the stairs behind her? things are far from over. It seems Alex was right, the only way to stop it is to kill everyone involved and then yourself.

Jessica more than likely had experienced some massive trauma which could have resulted in memory loss. I'm kind of having mixed feelings about Tim keeping her from Jay. On one hand, I'm like, HE COULD HAVE KNOWN, HE WAS SO CLOSE, but on the other I'm like, Tim is probably the only reason she's alive. I'm glad everybody else is worried about "everything is fine". Also, finally, I was incredibly heartbroken when he threw the mask away. It was like he grew up, or grew past the need, but at the same time, it was like Tim was throwing away all the work he had done as basically an anti-operator hero.

Reading about all of this how things can't be over so suddenly and that Alex said to "Kill everyone involved and then yourself." really makes me rethink the "happy ending" thing. It almost makes me kind of... upset at the turnout? I really like and want to think that Tim and Jessica ended up living on a better note, but now I'm not so sure. And it makes me kind of flustered.

Tim may have killed Jessica in between those two scenes. Somehow he got her somewhere controlled like her hotel room or something so she could help him and then he killed her. The scene after you see Tim driving away with the most determined but guilty face and you can faintly hear police/ambulance sirens, in the background.

I personally believe he either killed himself after posting the entry now that Jessica is might be dead, or he went full masky without the mask and killed her. Yup, Jay is dead. Alex shot him in the abandoned school, and the Operator carried the body away to wherever it is he stashes Alex's victims. We saw it there in the running/teleporting battle between Tim and Alex.

But what if there IS one entry left? I've been thinking that even though this entry did remind me of a suicide note, I think that the last entry really might be one, OR they are going to leave the ending open creepily. If this isn't the last one, that is. Also, Looking back to Alex's and Tim's "conversation" when Alex was dying, Tim said that there might be hundreds of infected, or thousands, which could have implied that we're infected because we watched MH. If you think it like that, IG Tim might be hunting the viewers... Which makes the ending creepy. But that's just me trying to make the entry creepy... The sirens are really unsettling me. MH usually has no coincidences, or strange stuff happening without a reason, so maybe we'll get a TTA (I wish) or another Entry. For me, Marble Hornets isn't over until credits are posted.

Though I agree it's not over until the credits are posted, I think this entry can be pretty definitively read as the end. It's five years to the day since "Introduction" went up, with a video mirroring that initial use of long travelling shots and including Tim's decisive disposal of the mask. I really wanted them to end on a TTA video as well, and I wanted an explanation of the between-season oddness with the antiques store, but I think this is a good way to go out. Maybe I'll feel different next year; I've pledged myself to shotgunning the entire run when Alex's birthday rolls around again

I wouldn't really call MH an arg seeing as it had like no audience participation and was more of a web series with an in character twitter (Bates Motel has in character blogs and it's not an arg)

I personally really like this ending. It leaves a lot of questions left wide open and I like that. I don't like my answers served on a platter to me. Unsolved mysteries leave room for my imagination to wander wild with what ifs so Marble Hornets has turned me into a kid in a candy store.
Also I never once expected things to end in some spectacular fashion. The previous entry was about as much as I expected, though I always figured that would be the end of it all. With what they said they planned for the original ending, I like this much better.
I find it hilariously frustrating that I get back into the series right before it ends though. Lovely luck, I have.~
