He could be controlled, seeing as how he "got into contact with Amy" and told Jessica to disregard that last message he left her. It could be a way of hiding the fact that Amy is still missing?
Also to note, The Operator didn't show up till after Alex drew the new drawing. Maybe it could be a way for him to "see" out of those images and find people?

Well HELLO THERE, SLENDY! You're not out in the open this time. Hiding in the dark as usual, I see... Lovely. I missed this from you. Where has this dark side of you been? Has it been hiding? I thought it completely died in 43.
\Clears throat\ This brings up some absolutely lovely questions. I'm beginning to believe that Alex has been hallowed/become a Proxy, although I actually did start suspecting that earlier in the series as a "what if" theory. :B I'm beginning to believe that my theory was correct, and that the Operator symbol functions as an "eye" of sorts, as Zander said.
Fantastic entry. I, admittedly, cringed.
Several times.

Im glad Slendy has been getting more screen time. But I wanna know what that guy wearing the bug mask was all about! Im guessing Alex lives with Slendy? Or maybe Slendy is paying rent to stay there?

Ok...hm...
First off, that chest cam has got to go. That is one of the ugliest things I have ever seen a man wear. If anything Slendy is just desperately trying to show them what true style looks like. = No Moobs.
Spoiler:
Ok, so Jessica is confirmed important to the further plot. Alex is lying to her though, which, again, casts my suspicion towards his motives and his trust-worthiness. So who do we trust? Where's Amy? This entry is definitely eyebrow raising. I'm also somewhat happy to see a return to the older style of MH scare, with the classic Slendy lurking, appering and dissapearing. It's also extremely remeniscent of the Masky video, where he's warping around Jay's room. Intriguing, since we still haven't technically uncovered Tim's alliance yet.
Lastly, the way that Alex calmly tells Jessica to disregard his last message, proceeds to start drawing lsendy symbols, and ignores the obvious slender-presence, makes me think that he is hallowed. Perhaps he had escaped slendy for a time, and was trying to warn Jessica, but it seems like he's back under Slendy's controll after the events of Entry 43
I approve. Good entry.

Good entry is good... But honestly?
I still haven't been scared by an entry in a Long time... the mystery of the earlier ones, the 'wtf is going on here?!' made it so much more compelling.
This is becoming a good Story... but it's just that - a Story. I don't feel scared by it anymore... Just enthralled.

I actually agree with Rythmear. Don't get me wrong, seeing Slendy is good and all, but I felt no adrenaline rush, at all, really. You know, the sort of "OH SHIT YOU GUYS. GET THE FUCK OUT OF THERE!" reaction that I felt when Jay was in the woods. But maybe it's just me. Alex's little outfit was a bit...*cough*...distracting for me. (Seriously Alex, always having to film yourself is bad enough, but now you've got to wear the camera? Seriously?)
All things considered...Alex, buddy, get your act together man. You were doing so well :(

I thought the entry was pretty interesting. It had the feel to one of the earlier entries...I'm a bit disappointed though, because I wasn't on edge. Once. The effects were nice, and there Mr. Slender was sick, but...I don't know. Something was missing for me. :\

Yeah, definitely a cool entry.
Spoiler:
What was with the three operator symbols next to the tree? Did he draw more to try and attract Slendy? So does that mean all the other symbols were used to draw him to a place? If so, when Alex was hiding in the earlier tapes, then why would he draw them? Do the quantity on the same sheet of paper affect the effect? No, that's stupid. I think I confused myself there. Also, is it just me, or is it a bit weird for Alex's camera to still be working after getting so close to Operator? Jay's camera broke when it got too close, and it was a nicer camera.

There's one simple problem with the newer entries...
They're Predictable.
In the earlier ones, they were pretty much either pure filler, or they were tense ALL the time, so you could never tell if there was going to be a slender appearance or not.
Like that one where he appears right at the start, walks into his room - but nothing is seen besides a bloody face for the rest of the video.
Or the first ever Masky epsiode (which I still use as my go-to video for scaring gullible friends) - the Whole video was so scary, you were waiting for something to appear Every time he opened a door... the buildup was epic.
This one? It feels... and I Hate using this word in a Slender Man context.... .... ... Routine.
Phone call, wonky camera, oh look he's coughing blood... Oh now he's scribbling on the paper, good job - oh I hear the tape distorting... How long until THERE he is, excellent people, that's a wrap!
I miss the days when the footage tearing didn't automatically mean he was about to appear. There were plenty of episodes where the audio and visuals spazzed out but you never actually Saw him.
These days it's just like 'Great... Operator, bro, wtf is your actual purpose? Who is your target? Didn't you want to kill Alex before? Or is it just that you're bored out of your skull and want to fuck with some teenagers?'
....
Look at me bitching like a 14 year old girl... Slender Man, you sold out - it used to be about scaring the holy jesus out of people. Now you just show up to the concerts because you're being paid to, it's so phoned in...

Spoiler:
He gone, bro. I think Alex is irreversibly Slendered in some way and won't be getting out of this fully intact.
Although I have to say, I would like a little bit more actual story per entry. It seems like most entries are giving us one clue/useful piece of info at a time, and occasionally a bit of "WTFOMG scary stuff!" I want to be genuinely surprised, either accompanied by or even independently of being startled.

Yeah, I'm kind of with the idea that there needs to be more plot development and some important things to go down. I wasn't really scared, I just had my "Oh shit..." moment towards the end for understandable reasons. TTA has been as cryptic as ever. Jay's watching tapes again and not having shit going on IRL. Not saying I haven't enjoyed this season, but there needs to be some more occurrences and reveals to help satisfy the audience.
I loved Entry #43 for that, because it made my head buzz with possibilities and scared me at the end, while this one was just anti-climatic in comparison. This one has some speculation going on for it, but I felt my curiosity peak more when The Operator appeared than feeling terrified.

All things considered I'm not big on the idea that the operator symbols summon Slender Man somehow. It seems from Entry #26 that he can be summoned, but I get the impression that if he's going to turn up in Alex's bedroom then he can do it of his own volition without anyone drawing anything. What I took from Alex's scribbling both here and in the original Marble Hornets tapes was more of a semi-automatic obsessive-compulsive response to ol' Slim's influence. Like his head's on fire and he needs to spill it out somehow. If you've ever seen the art of the schizophrenic Adolph Wolfli, I imagine it's a little like that
Of course this still doesn't explain what the operator symbol is for

When I first saw Alex's shadow I thought it was slendy and I panicked. I'm such a wuss.
My thoughts throughout the video:
Spoiler:
It's not like we want to see your blood, Alex. Mysterious symbol thar, Alex. Holy shit, slow down. Too many. Operator. Pretty much the first time he's mentioned. Alex must be tired after writing all that shiz. Umm, shadow? Slenderman in a few flash frames. Standing there watching Alex. Seems more... terrible than usual. Where's Alex?
More importantly, how did he survive 43?

Oh, this was definitely a great entry. We've returned sort of to an older style which is nice and it's brought up a few theories and reinforced some too.
Spoiler:
1: That theory that Alex is becoming a proxy is looking more likely, the shifty acting, the obsession again and of course the lying. Also: notice how he spit blood into the sink, this explains the blood in the sink from the early entries when Jay investigated Brian's house.
2: That old theory about the operator symbol being like a summoning/eye for Slendy is looking a lot more likely now too, considering assumedly Alex is doing this after the events of Entry 43 and then Slendy shows up after he draws it all and goes to sleep.
One last thing I thought I’d mention, I swear I got paranoid as hell when at about 16 seconds in you can see two lights in the distance, they're the right distance apart and right angling to be like the two lights in TTA's Memories video.
Probably just a massive coincidence though.

I completely interpreted the picture differently.
Spoiler:
I thought maybe he was doing some kind of drawing of whatever happened to Amy, Jay and Himself in the woods. I'm still holding strong to the idea that entry #38 takes place after these other videos we've been watching. And since Alex is most likely mind fudged from Slendy, perhaps the drawings are his way of trying to warn or spill out his crazy thoughts. I'm not terribly sure about the operator symbol summoning him. I think it makes more sense that they just act like "eyes" for him to see where your at.
Which means that I'm completely screwed because of how many I've drawn. Hell one is probably too many.
And for a more comedic view of the entry... Alex on Cribs!
Spoiler:
Yeah so this is my digs, pretty sweet huh? Thats my bed and my lamp. I like the low lighting. This is my sink, its where I can spit up any blood that gets caught in my throat. Pretty sweet. This is my creepy picture collection. I'm a bit of an amature artist. Let's see, here's a tree and a few operator symbols. Yeah, that looks good. Oh and this is my camera. Stellar.
That's pretty much what it looked like to me.

Is it weird that I concentrated more on the fact that the computer chair moved then I did Alex being gone and Slendy being all climbin' in yo windows?
Either way, *shivers*. This season is so full of shittin' brix I am astounded.
To bring something useful to the topic, I still don't think the Operator Symbol "summons" him. If you are going to play the card of "summoning" then you have to live with the idea that the Operator can be used as a tool. That he can be directed or given direction to help, hurt or harm. That he isn't a chaotic force but something that fits into a larger hierarchy. I for one, am far from submitting to the idea that the Operator has rules or regulations--that he could be in Germany eating children and because some twat in Georgia decided that he wanted to do some doodling, that the Operator has to drop what he is doing and appear before some mere mortal to do his bidding. That just doesn't sit well in my stomach. At all.
... although, to play devil's advocate, it would explain the mental and physical deterioration of Alex. To try and control something that powerful would surely come at a great cost to one's health. Coughing up hamburger can't be a sign of anything good.

I think it's more of a coping mechanism. Alex is going insane and he's trying to convince himself that it's not his fault.
