The big Marble Hornets update?

If anybody has been reading Troy's blogs, he talks about a big update.
So what are your ideas and what do you think it is?

On a more serious note, perhaps we'll finally find out who totheark is. Or maybe we'll see a major character killed off. Or maybe...!

Yeah, that's all I've got.

It will be an update so big, so large that it will crush the minds of us mere mortals. Leaving Troy no choice but to remove the video and burry the remains.

The update Troy put on his blog today is fascinating me, though. Apparently he has a very complex shoot coming up, and if he doesn't get it all down this week, it could majorly affect the scirpt. What could be so important that it would change that much of the story? I'm thinking someone's moving away or something... So I take back what I said, maybe it is an indirect character death announcement XD

But he also mentioned something about being ''clear to announce it" ... didn't he say that when he announced the season 1 DVD?? <.<

I'm pretty sure he said before on his blog that Season 2 is it.

Interesting. Do either of them usually advertise the actual youtube releases like this, on their blogs? Or have they in the past? I would tend to expect something along the lines of what MadameMiz suggests, but I haven't followed the MH blogs, so I have no real sense of what they tend to do or not do. Hmm.

From what i have read of the blog in the past, they tend not to mention it outside of big releases or messages. Like the only other times i can think of when he mentioned it was season 2 starting, running out of pre-recorded footage(end of the hotel thing), and then the DVDs. Other then that, its just his blog, but i haven't been reading recently so he might have changed his style.

Hoping they've decided to extend it into a third season. The second season is presumably closer to its end than its beginning now, but I don't see how all the plot strands can be tied up in an effective and satisfying manner to end the entire story within five or ten more episodes.

*Happy dances* Woot woot! I can't wait to see if they release a season two dvd! I have the first one on my Christmas list for this year...

At least they're not trying to rush the story to it's conclusion, I think we'd all be extremely disappointed if we had spent all that time and energy enjoying a series for it to fall flat in the end.

A part of me hopes there won't be a large timeskip between season two and season three, but another part of me feels like that's going to happen.

If you read the link you'd have seen the Q&A. He says there will not be a large time skip this time.

I'm so glad there is going to be a season 3, although I'm surprised it really had to be 'announced' at all. I had kind of come to the conclusion that there would be another season before the announcement OF the announcement anyway, so it wasn't shocking. I figured that season 2 was just going to be disproportionately long compared to season 1 to accommodate the ending, or there was going to be another season to wrap things up. The nice thing about this though is, if they decide that they'd like to continue past season 3, they have more time and space in which to set that up throughout the third season, although I doubt that they will do that. I guess we'll just have to wait and see.

Oh, hooray! There's going to be a third season, then! This is excellent news. I think their story has begun to expand and become more complex and ambitious, and I'd much rather see this new potential explored than have an ending too soon which leaves too many things undeveloped and unexplained. Knowing there's more increases my appreciation of what we've been seeing in season two. I've spent a lot of time wondering where this is going and how it can possibly end when we were told it would. Now I'm excited.

I think Jay's going to find Alex dead.
