| Forgive me if this has already been discussed, but has the model/costume/horrifying otherworldly being changed in physical appearance between parts 1 and 2 of Marble Hornets?
I specifically noticed it in #51 because we got a good full shot of him, and we rarely do. The arms and specifically the hands seem much more exaggerated than I noticed them being throughout part 1. They just looked bigger, the hands looked like the fingers were sharper, and the whole body seemed slightly hunched over from the weight of them. The second season also makes him appear shorter than he was in season one upon reviewing his "cameo"s.
One more thing. Have we ever seen him move in part 2? There were a couple clips in part one where we explicitly saw him walking or turning (probably some of the scariest parts IMO), but I can't recall ever seeing him do more than stand there and be menacing in part 2. This could reflect a change in the slender model.
Does anyone else see this, or am I just looking for something that isn't there?

| I agree. It was when Alex was walking towards him in the woods that he first looked different and...doofyier. He looks like KingKong in a business suit. Not sure what changed but I'm not really liking it. | |

| I agree that it seems to have changed. Something about the new Slendy they have looks silly and reminds me of Gumby(probably the fault of the arms there). It's really not as scary and when we get full-body shots of their new Slender Man model I end up chuckling instead of having an "OH SHIT U GUISE" moment like I often did during season one. It's just.. all I can really use to explain the way it seems to me is 'meh'. I prefer their old Slender Man to the new one quite a bit. | |

| Oh wow, I get to actually be helpful here. XD
I heard that question asked just this Saturday and I have it by Word of God that the Slendy used in Marble Hornets hasn't changed since season one. It's the same Slendy in both. So it must just be from how we're seeing it now in different angles and lighting that is giving us a different impression of its appearance.

I actually find the fact that the angles and lighting can give us such different impressions on the appearance of their Slendy pretty interesting(probably because it looks so very different to me as of late).

| Well, I think season 2 is also the first time we really get a good, up-close shot of Slendy. In season 1 he pretty much was always only on screen for maybe a second or two, or it was dark and you couldn't really get that great a look at him. Now, we've had two entries that show him during the day and right there in front of the camera for a good several seconds. | |

| This is true. They have been showing us a lot more slendy. They need to stop, their suit isn't all that awesome. | |

| The arms really make the entry just not feel right. We need more Slendy moving rather then just standing there. When ever I see that it just feels so cheap to me. Will nothing ever top the first few entries? ....nope. -sigh- | |

Gumby...
...I'm never going to unsee this. You've ruined slenderman. RUINED HIM! I saw a picture of a screencap from 51 of Slendy on tumblr, but they replaced him with Gumby. It was something I will never be able to unsee either. Now you shall feel my pain! Mission success.

| It's not just the arms that bug me, it's those humongous 70's like suit pants. Makes him look like he's ready to go disco dancing. ahdsjkasd It's strange how no one's ever noticed them before... but I guess the angles were a lot more... flattering in season one. | |

| It's definitely the lack of motion and hiddenness that is bothering me in season 2, especially the stop frame in entry 51. Although I won't chop it up to laziness and say that in actuality it was creative experimentation, I will say MarbleHornets needs to make him creepy again, cuz he isn't anymore with them. This isn't to say that I won't keep watching, it's still pretty damn good, but they're taking some of the fun out of it. | |

| Yeah, I detest the fact that the Slender Man just kinda... stands there now. He's not even really important to the story anymore. | |

| I'm more afraid of a motionless Slender Man than a moving one.
When it isn't moving I can't help but wonder what its thinking.

| It did change. I don't quite know why since it was perfect to begin with, but he seemed to look much better to me in the most recent entry. (I don't recall if he looks exactly the same as the beginning, but overall, I think he looks good.) It seems they've remedied the problem, so I suppose I can't complain too much. | |

| It's mostly in the lighting/situations it's in.
Also: anyone who thinks that Slendy never horror-fails in Season 1 hasn't watched Return. Shiny buttons! :3

| Biggest thing that ever bugged me about their Slendy?
In totheark-Return, his tie is crooked.

| I've always assumed they had two versions: The Stilts version that someone is in and who moves, and the standing one. I figure the moving one is a pain for most things (especially in the woods), or they lost their stilts/actor, so they just kept using the Standing one. Apparently, according to the DVD commentary, they tried making him walk stop motion in Entry 51, but it looked crappy. Additionally, he stop-motion walks in the deleted entry on the DVD, and it's creepy, but cheesy. | |
