| I was just wondering how everyone prefers series to end. Do you prefer a happy ending? The main character dying? The channel just to suddenly stop uploading? Or should the series just keep going indefinitely? (Marble Hornets is how old now?) Or is it something else entirely? I would love to here your thoughts !! | |

| I kind of like how Angel's Game ended, personally. But then, not every series's Slendy is like theirs, so they couldn't all end like that. (/trying to be non-spoilery)
IMO, if you have to kill off your main characters, you could have your proxy, if you have one, snag the camera from their corpses and upload the video. That, or just upload the last video with no explanation and let people speculate/rage. In the case of a blog, it'd be harder to handle. You could have your proxy simply announce that your protagonist(s) is dead, or maybe have the last post say that they're going to do something that they might not come back from. That way, people can draw the conclusion after a while with no updates that they've died.

| Angel's Game "ended"?
Huh. News to me.
The JAFool ending was the "leave people wondering" ending, and it was neat, but enough people were confused that the PM had to actually come from behind the curtain and explain it.

| If I get my camera back you may be in luck. Otherwise it remains in blog format only. | |

Huh. News to me. In the sense that it ceased being Angel's Game and became APCollection/Hiscollector.

| Endings are a bitch because everything's been done. Personally, I'm all about the Dog Ending, but I appreciate that if people have put up with your shit for two years, it might not go over so well. The obvious options are: protagonist dies protagonist goes missing, fate unknown (offering opportunity to bring the thing back later but if not, no biggy) protagonist is somehow forced to stop vlogging indefinitely protagonist finds some way to keep Slendro at bay indefinitely Dog Ending. And I'm inclined to say that all of those are obvious to the point of being tropes now - i.e. you are no longer under any serious obligation to avoid them as long as you do them in an interesting or meaningful way. | |

| Dog Ending sounds glorious, and I completely forgot about it. (win point)
Name one blog that ends with lots of explosions. That needs to happen.

| You know, since people keep saying that, I may endeavour to end 90DC with lots of explosions. I can't think of how that's going to work in context, but fuck it, I'm amazing, so it's only a matter of time. | |

| PS you can't call it "Dog End", that means something else. | |

| I haven't actually watched any of their videos, due to them being deleted from what I can tell, but I'm pretty sure Dark Dream Chronicle ended with Slenderman legitimately exploding. | |

| I missed it too, but if it's any comfort, from what I know DDC and it's successors are very ARGy and extremely hard to follow for people late to the party. | |

| Before I just kind of let my blog die off, one of my plans for the ending was to pull a Lemony Snicket. Keep introducing new plot elements, let everything get really convoluted and then pull out an ending that leaves almost everything unresolved. Of course, I think most people were following my blog more for just the main character being... well, himself than for the actual plot, so that might have actually turned out okay.
Seeking Truth did end with Zeke blowing up that warehouse. That's only a blog, but hey, it is an ending with an explosion.

| And Zeke himself ended with both a bang and a whimper. *shot* | |

| It's really tough. - Spoiler:
It's usually either weak or unrecorded or left to interpretation. Though there are occasions where expectations are surpassed. But it seems that those are few and far between.

| My understanding, then, is that endings are the exception, rather than the rule? | |

| I guess it would be hard to say how to end them, considering how difficult it can be to tell the protagonists and antagonists apart. Like in Mlanderson and Marble Hornets. With so many ideas and theorys swarming the ARG's, I can see why most of of them have not ended yet. And maybe, that is what makes them so entertaining to read and watch. | |
