| Hey, kids! Want to read a blog but don't know which ones are worth your time? Well, look no further, because Slenderblog vs. Slanderblog* is the place for you! Now you can find the popular opinion on all your favorite blogs--or even the blogs you've never even heard of! Isn't that great? Yes it is. But please, if you're thinking of contribuiting to this thread yourself, why don't you take a look at the rules and guidelines (spoilered below) before you begin? Items in red are either rules or strongly suggested. - Rules and Guidelines:
1. Blogs are arranged alphabetically by ranking. The more votes a blog has, the more loved it is by the community. While the higher ranked blogs are not always better that lower-ranked ones, a higher ranking is usually a good indicator of quality.
2. Voting is on a 3-point scale: +1, +0, or -1. This means that you can only vote a blog up or down one point, or remain neutral. This means no +2 or +1/2.
3. Some blogs are closely tied or are direct continuations of other blogs. Examples of this are Seeking Truth and the Mystic or A Hint of Serendipity and Last Refuge of a Dangerous Man. These blogs are treated as a single blog, and can only get one vote per voter.
4. Anyone may vote. It doesn't matter if you create an account just to vote in this thread. Of course, sock-puppeting is looked down upon, but I'm sure you all respect this resource too much to try to skew the results.
5. You may vote on as many blogs as you wish, but you may only cast one vote for each. You also don't have to do all your voting in a single post. You can come back to the thread after you've read more blogs.
6. You are allowed to vote on your own blog. It's common courtesy to give it a +0 to keep bias free, but if you honestly think it deserves a +1 or -1, you can vote it up or down. And yes, this does mean that you can use this thread to plug your blog.
7. If you change your opinion on a blog, feel free to change your vote. If you do, however, please note that you're changing it, and state what score you are changing it from. Changing from a +0 to a +1 only gives a one point jump, but changing from a -1 to a +1 gives a two point jump (and vice versa).
8. Please check to see if the blogs you are voting on are already on the list. Please provide URLs for blogs that are not yet on the list.
9. It is very helpful if you include a spoilered list of blogs you have already voted on at the end of your posts so that you can check if you've voted on a certain blog and so you do not accidentally vote on something twice. I don't check to make sure for anyone but myself, so if you vote for the same blog twice, it skews my results.
10. If you're going to vote on a blog, be clear that you are voting. If someone responds to a post by saying "I agree," I don't know if they're voting or just saying that they agree with the critique.
11. There is also a section for miniverses (such as the Delmont Blogs, which include Time to Talk, Get Your Game Face On, and the eleventh hour or Operation Wintergreen, which includes Father of Light, Vox93, and Smiting the Gods), which works on the same voting system but is not yet integrated into the category system. What this means in regards to voting is that you should vote on the miniverse and the blogs within the miniverse separately. Remember, votes for the miniverse are votes for the overall story that arches between them, and votes for the individual blogs are for, well, the individual blogs.
The votes: Over +15 - Slenderfame (Must-reads) Seeking Truth/ The Mystic (+30) A hint of serendipity/ Last Refuge of a Dangerous Man (+23) A Really Bad Joke (+20) What You Are in the Dark (+18 ) Dreams in Darkness (+17) Observe and Terminate/ Specter's Blog (+16) +6 - +15 - Slenderblog (Worth reading) Just Another Fool (+12) Make it Count (+12) Once (+12) Peering In from the Outside/ Clockwork Heart (+11) Records of an Impossibility (+11) A Wand and a Prayer (+11) Now I Shall Know You Again (+10) It's All David's Fault (+9) Strike the Set (+9) The Tutorial (+9) Vivere Disce (+9) Deja vu Dreamer/ Maleorderman's Blog (+8 ) Breeze in Monochrome NIGHT (+8 ) Fabulous (+8 ) Take the Myth (+8 ) Si vis pacem, para bellum (+7) Smiting the Gods (+7) Don't Shoot The Messenger (+6) Exilis Veritas (+6) Floccinaucinihilipilification (+6) The Hiking Fiend (+6) The Morning Hunter (+6) -5 - +5 - Slenderage (Worth checking out) Encyclopedia Slenderia (+5) Happy Thoughts (+5) The Scarecrow Experiment (+5) Slenderbloggins (+5) Three Chances (+5) Upload Commencing (+5) White Elephants (+5) Fearblog: brighter than a spoon (+4) Golom Tulpa Anima (+4) The Hospital (+4) I Am Stardust (+4) Ichthyological (+4) Little Lion Man (+4) Live in the Light (+4) Throwing Voices (+4) Time Out of Mind (+4) 0harts to GIVE (+3) Anomalous Data (+3) The Bright Conundrum (+3) Fearblog: Eccentrically Bored/ Hidden in the Trees (+3) The Jeanette Experience (+3) Keep to the Trails (+3) killingthech0sen (+3) This is not a blog./ Who's Afraid of the Big Bad Wolf? | Well, here are a couple of blogs. I tend to rate these things on the character, rather than plot, so here we are.
A Hint Of Serendipity: +1 I'm totally not biased here. (Cough). But in any case, there was a great sense of character in this blog. People could identify with Zero, and not only that. He didn't ask for anything that was thrust upon him, but nevertheless tried to help.
H(a)unting: 0 I wouldn't say that I consider this a Slenderblog, because I don't see the one shown here as Slender man. On the other hand, they do have good interactions between the characters, and they've taken the idea in a different direction, so maybe I'm just biased. In any case, it's a fun read.
The Tutorial: +1 I like this one. M is a good character, and once more, that's generally how I base these thing. He's really consistent in character, and though very occasionally the character gets on my nerves, that's how he's played. Pretty stubborn, but wants to help.
Other blogs I feel should be put up for vote are the London Librarian, Para-Not-So-Normal, and Let Us Live, but I'm pretty damn biased on all of them, so I don't really want to do any voting just yet...

| +1 for Golom Tulpa Anima. Even though it's an informational blog it's literally one of my favorites. I'm always super stoked when it updates. +1 also for Making It Count because it's a really solid story with good writing and doesn't get the press it deserves. | |

| +0 for Hint of Serendipity (Can't be biased) -1 for haunting (You know why) +1 for Tutorial (Classic, never got too fantastical, would like to see more story in it though) +1 for Seeking Truth (You know I'm a zeke fanboy) +0 for Let Us Live (not narmy anymore, but all this 'cure' Jeff is throwing around gets on my nerves) +1 for White Elephants - the Revival (I thought it was going to suck, but it's already got my interest back!) | |

| -1 for Para Not-So-Normal. There's a lot of things in it, looking back, I really wish I did differently. +0 for Peering In from the Outside. Can't show bias here. +1 for Vivere Disce. It might have gotten narmy here and there (only a little!!) but it's never disappointed. +1 for both of Zeke's blogs, Seeking Truth and The Mystic +1 for White Elephants +1 for What You Are in the Dark | |

| +1 for both of Zekes blogs. If I could it'd be + OVER 9000. So yeah.
Can I do a + .5 for the Rehappening of White Elephants? I like what he's done with it, but I loved the original ending...
+1 for What You Are in the Dark, even if I'm not a fan of the whole "revenant" thing.
+1 for Let Us Live. Yeah, it's got some Narmy moments, but I like the characters, and it's got places to go yet.
+1 for Golum Tulpa Anima. Also +1 for Slenderbloggins and for Encyclopedia Slenderia. They're all good quality, although I ador GTA (Grand Theft Auto?) for it's style and complete... detached-ness, I guess.
+1 to Make It Count. Lord be, I adore this one. And it has the Zeke Strahm stamp of approval, so I can't argue with that.

| -1 for Haunting - Somehow a Humanoid Abomination isn't as scary when an 18-year-old girl is able to beat him up.
+1 for What You Are In The Dark - Reach is one of the best characters in the entire mythos IMO.
+1 for The Mystic - because how could Zeke's new blog not be great?

Agreed, At first I thought he was going to be just downright stupid, but he's shown a real human side, real character development. I enjoyed debating with him back in the day.

| All right, I'll put mine in and then update the list.
+1 for Just Another Fool. This is the series that affected me the most--even more than Marble Hornets. After jafool, I literally could not sleep that night.
+1 for Seeking Truth. Another classic, and a close contender for my favorite.
+1 for Dreams in Darkness. Again, amazing classic work.
-1 for H(a)unting. It started okay, but when Slendy starts wearing sunglasses, handing out flowers, and getting tackled by a teenage girl, you've lost my vote.
+1 for White Elephants. Groundbreaking stuff, and is responsible for the Core Theory.
-1 for SlenderMan. It's J/InvalidLaughter's blog. Do I need to say more?
-1 for A Stalking. It's poorly written, piggybacks off of H(a)unting, and consists primarily of the protagonists getting rid of the Slender Man by appeasing him with memetic gifts.
-1 for No Escape From Reality. It's...no. Just...just no.
+1 for A Really Bad Joke. It's a unique concept, and while the things I love most about it are the things I hate most about it, my impressions are mostly favorable toward it.
+0 for A hint of serendipity. No offense, zero, but while I never found it bad, I could just never quite get into it. Maybe my impressions would change after rereading it, and I really did like it towards the end. It's not a bad blog by any means; I just don't consider it a favorite.
+0 for Slenderbloggins, because I can't be biased.
+1 for Golom Tulpa Anima. I really enjoy the detatched, essay style he has compared to me and Omega.
-1 for Encyclopedia Slenderia because it sucks and I'm totally not saying that because I'm jealous that he probably gets more views than me
Oh, +1 for Encyclopedia Slenderia, I suppose.

+1 Just Another Fool
-1 IN MY HEAD
0 The Tutorial (He can't make up his mind so why should I?)
+1 Beware The Shepard
-1 A Rainbow Life
0 Keep Guessing
0 Here you go, Dr.
+1 Hard Times Like These
0 Why Are You Running?
+1 Cold feelings: "Slender Man" in Australia?

| What should I list every single blog I've read/am reading? Cause that might take a while.... +1 for Seeking Truth and Mystic, because they're Seeking Truth and Mystic. +1 for Dreams in Darkness. Still one of my favorite blogs out there, and is one of the best examples of how to write a good Slenderblog. -1 Borderline: Never quite liked the writing of it. Canadian Slender Man felt too narmy for me, like it was just piggybacking off White Elephants. I've heard the author's done some kind of retcon for it, but I haven't had a chance to check that out. -1 No Escape From Reality: No. +1 A Hint of Serendipity: I will be perfectly honest, Zero, when I first saw your blog, my initial response was "wtf is this jibba jabba". However, as the blog continued, I began to love it. It's also one of the few true examples of character development, as zero moved from a newb in the Mythos to being a heroic figure who rallied people around him. +0 H(a)unting: Had potential at the start, but now it's just gone downhill. Only reason I didn't give it a minus is because I read it like a parody blog; it becomes much more amusing if you don't take anything that happens in it seriously. +1 Make it Count: A blog which deserves far more publicity than it's gotten. Good writing and believable characters, plus Zeke Strahm. +1 I'll See You in Hell: One of the more unique characters in the Mythos, the blog is written by a serial killer. Does require a lot of suspension of disbelief, and drifts towards narm at times, but hey, I like my villian protagonists. +1,000,000,000,000 Encyclopedia Slenderia: The greatest work of English writing ever to grace the Earth. All should bow before it's glory.
-1 for Slenderbloggins: How dare it attempt to defy the might of Slenderia, what with its faster post rate, greater number of features, more casual/subjective attitude, and even a glossary! We didn't need no glossaries in mah day, we just shouted out whatever new phrases we wanted everyone to use over and over until they used them! None of this here defining stuff nonsense! And then we walked to school uphill in the snow both ways!+0 Encyclopedia Slenderia +1 Slenderbloggins I might do more later. We'll see.

| Erm, it's just +1 or -1. No 2 or 3.
Bit of an update: Seeking Truth and The Mystic are about the same character, and The Mystic can be considered the "sequel." I'll consider them the same blog unless someone thinks that they seriously need to be split. Same with White Elephants.
Also, I've added a "Slenderfame" and "Slendershame" category for blogs that have pretty much everyone voting up or down.
Few questions/clarifications: Lisa, I'm assuming you want the ones voted up or down 2 or 3 voted...up or down 1, since that's the limit. I'm adding those, and if you want those changed, correct me.
Zero, is that confirmation a +1 for What You Are in the Dark?
Altiumviditur (lol, cant spel!), do you want White Elephants at +1 or +0?

I kid, I kid. <3 FUCK, didn't see that coming. I've been waiting for Super Effective forever... I would've said Megatokyo but lately I check that webcomic maybe twice a month, it's getting some serious arc fatigue ever since Largo got bombed at the club way back in volume 4.

I've put the list up, with the blogs in alphabetical order according to how highly they're rated.

- +0 for Hint of Serendipity (Can't be biased)
-1 for Borderline
+1 for Smiting the Gods Villain protagonist who is starting to realize he's his own monster, awesome -1 for haunting (You know why) +1 for Tutorial (Classic, never got too fantastical, would like to see more story in it though) +1 for Seeking Truth (You know I'm a zeke fanboy) +1 for Let Us Live (not narmy anymore, but all this 'cure' Jeff is throwing around gets on my nerves) edit: In retrospect, despite any shortcomings Jeff really has turned his story into something people have a great interest in. It may not be my generation anymore, I need to look at it as its own work, and I admit, I've started getting an interest in Fallen er Cheska. +1 for White Elephants - the Revival (I thought it was going to suck, but it's already got my interest back!)
+1 for What you are in the dark - Reach has surprised me constantly. I haven't really cared for some of his things, like giving the proxies a set of levels, or giving out super powers, but he's taken a dark trolling figure, and given him real humanity
