Kript's Tale Video Game?

So for a few months now I've been considering making a game for my series Kripts Tale. Reason being is because during both filming and scripting, it seems like kripts tale could be made very well into a game. Now I'd like to generate interest and some workers if possible.

Kripts tale (the game) would be free to play, firstly. So we'd run off video ads, donation, and possibly a kickstarter. Graphics do not need to be/most likely won't be a strong suit. Gameplay would be that of "If GTA and Dead Space had a baby" where there would be the open world shenanigans and missions, with indoor/outdoor horror themed levels. The game would be third person, feature customization, have full voice acting, and variable combat paths..

Now that gameplay's asserted, story. I could probably handle all story, but I'm considering where in the kripts tale universe it would take place. After the series? During? In an alternate storyline?

And then there's the help needed. I have 1 codemonkey. That's about it. He's overworked and progress is slow. I have a possible model maker available, but it's all problematic at this rate. Let's be realistic here. Last time I checked, you had less than 50 subscribers. This means you're unlikely to get funded or the game will be left unplayed if it's released. now..."if GTA and Dead Space had a baby"...Although I can see how the concept could work, as an unfunded indie project based on a slenderseries next to nobody within the fandom, let alone the wider internet, has heard of...it wont be possible, because that shit isn't easy to do without professionals on a payroll. A couple of already overworked friends wont be able to do it.

Try to think realistically here. It's not going to be a viable option.

That's why I can advertise it as it's own individual game on my 220 subscriber let's play channel. The storyline could essentially be independent from the series. As for the workers, I have 3 now and progress is actually going on. Now I get that the "GTA and Dead Space had a baby" thing sounds really unprofessional, but it's been found that taking elements from past games and putting them into one can work out very well (cough batman arkham city). No one will want to play it and no one will fund it. You dont seem to be listening to me here.

I wouldn't really count on this game (or even the idea of it) having a lot of popularity. I agree that it would be difficult to generate enough interest in order to find enough people to support this game, to say nothing of people who would really look forward to its release.

It feels to me, that if your heart's really set on making this game, it's going to be a labor of love more than anything even remotely commercial/popular.

Most of us at Slender Nation have YouTube channels yeah? If the game ever sees the light, I'd be happy to advertise it in the form of a lets play or something.. If all or most of the active members here were to spread the word about it, even a little bit, i could see it gaining at least a small following.
