| Hey there guys,
I really want to create a Slenderman series I am quite good at editing and I have got a small story written out.
But I have a few questions:
-Does anyone of you have a good name for the channel itselfs? -The updating on the series will be 1 video each week/month not sure what would be the best?
Another thing is if you like slow starting series this one will be perfect for you.. I will slowly build up so it will be a few videos before the Slenderman starts kicking in. Also I will maybe feature some fears.. any suggestions?

| For the name, you should choose something relevent to the series but maybe not something directly used in the series. Like how marble hornets was just the name of the movie Alex worked on, or tribetwelve was a channel for a project Noah was working on. As for videos, its usually a better idea to try for a "when its done" aproach and just post the videos when you finish them. Even if you update about once everything month thats still better then videos that are rushed or unfinished. I think a lot of people prefer weekly videos, but like I said if its not done that take as long as you need for it. And with the fears, it might be a bad idea to use too many. Personally I prefer series that focus on slenderman, as right now there are a lot of series that combine slenderman and other fears like the rake. Using a good amount of both it can make the series interesting, but too many at once and it can just end up being a clusterfuck. Its good that you have the story planned out though. A lot of series seem to make it up as they go along and that ends up ruining them. Slow build up is also good but if its too slow it can make people lose interest. | |

I agree with everything you said exept the planning thing, because many creators that i spoke with had planned their stories out and had to change things heavily (partly even altering the story completely) and/or to improvize due sudden OOG reasons that could not be expected when they were originally planning it. A good mixture of planning and being spontanious is a better idea in my opinion.

In terms of dialogue, I'd suggest that you shouldn't be afraid of improvising dialogue, but if it's important to the plot you need to rehearse that shit.

| ^^^I thoroughly second the rehearsing thing. Especially when they're just starting out, I notice the acting on a lot of vlogs feels a little forced. Obviously they're not necessarily professionals, and I'm not bashing anyone -- TribeTwelve is p. much my favorite of the big names in the mythos, but the early acting *coughMilocough* feels a bit stilted, like they're trying a little too hard maybe? I feel like anyone should be able to get a little intonation if they practice at it.
Also I would say once a month. Because a) better to wait a little longer for a product of a higher quality, and b) then you have a bit more cushion in case something goes wrong. Also, it's fun to torment your viewers by making them wait I mean what
