I started reading this on Wednesday. Now I'm up to the beginning of Act 5. To sum up my feelings on it.... AGGGGHHHHHHHHHH! WHY DID I NOT FOLLOW THIS SOONER! IT IS BRILLIANT!
But I digress. It really is very good. It must be, seeing as I've spent the last 5 days reading it. But there's so much more to get through!

Woah, you're quite the oldfag. Can I ask what you thought of Homestuck when Hussie first started it? Did you think it would end up being this big, and did you particularly enjoy the first act when it was all that was out? I personally don't mind the first act, it just doesn't compare to the others and a lot of people just flat out hate it.

Well I was pretty hesitant about it, it went back to that slow 'playing with a goofy interface' i had an interest, but I maintained that I enjoyed PS better UNTIL the flash at the end of act 1. Also noted that I temporarily stopped reading Homestuck when Hivebent started, I couldn't understand why he did that at first, but now, well i enjoy the trolls a great deal.

certainly they were, but i think it was the constant introductions and long messages I disliked at first. granted now that I reread that some of those text messages were just hilarious in general, and some very poignant.
I just didn't like the attention diverted away from the 4 main chars back then

I think it was different for me because I started when Hivebent was over and I had a semblance of what was coming. And fuck were the descriptions hilarious. Eridan's GENOCIDE COMPLEX made me laugh and I know this was well after it, but the mention of CASUAL ARSON was enough to make it hard for me to breathe.
