I can't imagine what is going to happen next.

He's going to end up being a proxy and killing his brother while he loses time. That's my theory right now.

Just reversed the audio from the vid in audacity. Its crazy how creepy and ominous chimes and pianos and other normally cheery music can sound when backward. ..Although, even played forwards, the music gets sorta scattered and disrupted towards the end. Creepy in and of itself. Nothing of actual substance to report amid the backwards track though.

Honestly it seems like he's been being groomed for Proxydum since day one. But here's a thought for you. Why Michael?
Or for that matter why any of the particular proxy canidates from the vlogs?
In this particular one, Shawn and Eric have mentioned about having nightmares and being generally told to stay away from Michael since he got out of the asylum.

So my question is why is it so important that Michael is targeted? And why is Slenderman (I assume) "warning" them to stay away from him. Dosen't that go against his normal MO of trying to get a group of people to believe in him enough and then zap them? Also Shawn and Eric don't have Slendy encounters on their own aside from their dreams.

Maybe in this case Slendy's employing a 'divide and conquer' strategy. Perhaps in proxy conversion, the victim needs to be isolated?

I don't think it's so much a proxy as being insane. I think that The Slender Man is real here, but back when Michael first went into the institute it was only in his mind. Eric probably thought they were playing a game and when Michael insisted on it he didn't believe him. Then the entire time he was in the institute all he could think about was Slender Man, and then boom, just like the something awful thread, it was willed into existence. I also like Blackwolf's plan of Divide and Conquer. Makes quite a bit of sense with the current situation.

I also think Slendy, at least in this series, seems to latch on to specific people and the people around them just get dragged along for the ride. It's not so much that Shaun and whatshisface don't have slenderman as BAD, but simple they only get the side effects of being around someone who's being slenderstalked.

it's like dropping a rock in a lake. Michael is in the middle, and Shaun and Eric are just getting the ripple effect. Michael says that Slenderman went away for Shaun when he went away. Slender man is only really around them to get to Michael. It's probably also why they get the worst of it.

The backwards song is Exile Vilify by the National, and im sure as some of you know it was used in Portal 2 ^_^ (kasdfjkasdfj I can't believe he actually put the song in his video for me)

If Michael becomes a Proxy, I will walk the fuck away from this series instantly. Hallowed/Hollowed/Proxy/etc. Whatever they call it, I will walk. I hate that it is becoming a bad plot ploy to make everyone a Proxy. Almost as bad as the long, lost evil twin... Which actually hasn't been done in a Slenderwork... hmmm. Someone get on that.

Anyway, I don't mind the idea of Michael being encouraged to do things while he is in a weakened state, i.e. sleeping or drugged, but it should be explained that he is being influenced, not danced around like a doll.

I concur. If Michael go into Proxyland then I'll be very upset. I don't mind the proxies as long as they serve a purpose. Or when characters become almost or temporary proxies. AKA slenderfluenced.

Was that last word a bit of a stretch?

On this forum? Probably not. I've used stuff like Slendershit before to talk about all the stuff in the Slenderverse. (see, there we go again)
