Entry 50 Discussion

The thing that bothered me from this entry was how he builds up to showing Jay, then let us all down. That was a real douche thing to do to the audience, and would never have happened otherwise.

Also, how does jay know that the tape he found at Alex's house is the one he is looking for. could just be a video of him sleeping or something dumb like that. Granted the hiding place suggests that something important is on the tape.

Also... Alex without his camera? I think he knows that Jay has his key, and didn't want to give Jay any more footage to steal.

This timeline is starting to irk me.

If the entry actually followed what a normal human being under such stress would do, and not trying to create suspense.

He is looking for the tape of what happens when he and Jessica come back.

Maybe Masky attacked Jay at the hotel because he didn't want him to get the tapes and/or get started on the mess all over again.

He failed, of course; getting bitch-slapped by a mag light and all.

Since we never got a clear enough look at the Masky in this Entry, is it possible it was someone dressed up with Tim's mask? Or maybe Masky was using some sort of teleportation? >_>

Or we could sum it up to Jay's clumsiness.

In any case, Masky seems to be able to run a little bit, despite his hurt leg; remember in the entry where he tackled Alex? He seemed to be running fast there, too.

Ok, ok, ok. So, firstly, my perception of the timeline has been totally shot to hell. Now I'm just friggin lost and confused. I think I need to go back and look at the actually timeline of the entries to get the implications of this episode all sorted.

Firstly, as before stated, why is Tim so gimpy in the hotel when he's hauling ass here? I assume he attacks Jay in the hotel because, as I've always stated, He's really a good guy, and watching the tapes, filming yourself, yadda yadda yadda, all pulls you deeper into Slenderman territory. He's attacking Jay because Jay is making the same dumb mistake he keeps making. He's getting involved. I would say maybe he's more powerful in the woods, but that would imply that he was being helped by Slendy, and I don't think that's the case. Either way, it's probably just continuity error.

Secondly, that's all the key was good for? Was Jay specifically lookin for that tape? And what's witht the numbers? Not a date. Not Entry numbers. Although he does look like he knows that he's going forget things. (I wonder how that happens by the by.)

Overall I found this episode boring. It has some interesting concepts, like maybe Alex doesn't need a camera anymore becuase he's fully in Slender-mode. Or maybe he's start to extract himself from the situation again. Who knows. Either way, he's not really on Jay's side, is he? But the video was mostly 10 minutes of blurry trees and a showcase of Masky's shockingly poor hide-and-go-seek skills. Not a lot of payoff for a lot of video-time.

Okay, completely irrelevent but right at about 2:18-2:25 Alex walks exactly like you'd expect a stereotypical "jock" would. I laughed so hard, reminded of guys I happened to know.

Anyway, on topic I've got a few notes about this Entry.

1-the glance over his shoulder that Alex gives Jay when Jay says "Don't really have much of a choice, do I?" just screams "you have no idea about anything, you stupid sod" to me. Almost like he knows that Jay is onto him or something but that Jay just doesn't realize how bad or "good" things are yet.

2-What is up with Alex? "I want [Jessica] to see it too." Meaning what? He missed a date with Slendy so to make up for it he's going to bring a virgin sacrifice too?

3-Go TiMasky, Go! Run!

4-Ho, Masky's at the Alex-just-killed-a-guy place. Oh shit, Tim knows what you did last summer, Alex...

5-Just before 8:40, when Jay's yelling the tunnel thing-I think he's reached his point of "I'm confused and I want answers NOW DAMNIT" that most people would have in a situation like this. Nice to know that Jay's a little more emotional in the more recent entries. And now at 8:40-:50, this is really subtle, but that head rub and sigh just screams "I don't know what the fuck to do anymore." filled with so much desperation plus his physical exhaustion. I am liking this so much.

6-at 12:13, is that a daily regiment pill plan case in that drawer?

7-The next drawer after that, "Return Home" on the paper=I fucking knew it Slendy is an alien. Obviously.

8-13:32 in. "56-42" is this supposed to be a set of Entries that is going to be posted or is this supposed to show that the Entries with those numbers are linked to/from/by this particular tape?

9-Oh wait. Am I the only that the video skips the second of 14:06? Goes straight passed it, went back four times and each time the progress went: 14:04, 14:05, 14:07. Makes me think maybe there's a hidden second on that video that maybe has something we need? If I had the technology I'd find out but maybe someone around here or UF can figure it out.

I dunno about the jock walk, I always thought Alex swished a little.

Or maybe that's just because Jay's always filming his ass.

I thought it was that too. Which means we have 6 episodes until the end of season 2?

YouTube does that second skipping thing a lot. I often find comments saying things like "Thumps up if you noticed the video skipped *Insert second here*!" So it's no weird coincidence. But who knows, maybe Jay is actually some incredible mastermind instead of a confused snoop who knew the video would skip. 14:06 looks similar to LA:OG, so maybe it means something.

Or maybe I'm just making up utter crap for my own whimsical amusement.

I would have to conclude that umad, bro.

seriously, it's a weird name and that was the purpose of it- go read the thread for 41 to see the legendary beginnings.

It's just as arbitrary as "Russel", anyway

Great entry. A bit boring, and left me with more questions than answers but still fantastic. Is it just me or does Alex have a more friendlier tone with Jay? As if he knows something bad is going to happen and it's his way of making up for acting like a total jerk.

Also, I do believe that Masky was trying to show Jay what Alex did in the tunnel by leading him there.

And from the way he was yelling at Masky and trying to get answers, it seems that Jay is just tired of it all.

Oh, and that 'distortion' people are talking about in the tunnel during yells? I think that's just echo.

I think this entry happens before the one where Alex kills the man though. The tunnel looks pretty clean. I think we're still missing an important part (A part where Jessica and Jay are in the park with Alex?) that comes between this entry and the tunnel entry.

I doubt it, Media. For one, whenever Jay went into the tunnel the focus was bonkers. I personally couldn't see a thing; then again, you might have a better computer than me and saw some stuff that I was unable to see.

Secondly, I think this video makes the most chronological sense after the tunnel video. For instance, why would Alex take Jay in one day, and then the next day Jay has to hide behind trees while following Alex?

I also liked Alex asking "Did you SUCCESSFULLY steal anything from me?"

Anywho, I think Alex wanted Jay to go into his house. I think he wanted to tell Jay something but couldn't. Something is stopping him for some reason. But he really stressed what that key was for. He wanted Jay to find that tape.

But don't we already know why Jay is following Alex? (I've forgotten the reason for the moment)
Also, Jay didn't seem curious about the tunnel. Going by how things have gone, Jay seems like he would want to look around the tunnel to see what was in there for Alex, even if he was distracted by "TiMasky"

If I'm not mistaken, is Slendy in those trees? Maybe I've just been staring that the screen cap too long... But it kind of looks like him
