Mentally chuckling at the comment Slenderman appears behind Zaz for a split second staring at Hannah. Three seconds pass and he appears behind a tree just within her sight.

Hannah froze, just like everything else in her line of sight. Time itself had stopped for her and her thoughts were nothing more than a chaotic mess, falling and shattering like delicate China plates being roughly shoved from a high shelf. A string of expletives fell from her lips along with broken German phrases. Any protective feelings she had for Zaz were buried and, as soon as the terrifying man disappeared from behind the young girl, she turned and ran back to her house like a bat out of Hell.

Mentally laughing Slenderman slides from our reality into the Path of Black leaves safely inside his reality slenderman begins to plot.

Skills: An accomplished gymnast and athlete, his body is fast and strong, as is his mind. He is well versed in the act of survival and knows some methods to defend himself.
Personality: The local recluse around the town, rarely leaves his bungalow, and as such he is quiet, but he thinks a lot and is thus philisophical
Reason for being out: He is out for a walk where and when there will be few people around to stare at the hermit leaving his shelter.
Carrying: A journal, a pen, a swiss army knife and a walet.

Walking down the street, was the hermit but not drunkard of the town, Harold, his head was craned downwards at the ground and his body slightly tensed agains the chill, he shuddered against the cold as he walked. He enjoyed the dry cold of winter more than he did the humid warmth of the opposite season, but with winter came the time of the year he dreaded, christmas, not that he despised the people who celerbrated it. He was walking slowly toward where Zaz was standing and where Hannah had been before she fled in terror. He stops in his stride as he hears the commotion of Hannah fleeing and looks up towards them.

Hannah stood in her doorway for a moment, shaking like a leaf, before she dashed into her house and found her school bag, pulling out her phone and pocketing it. It would come in handy if she had a full blown panic attack and needed an ambulance. Her senses slowly returned and she realised that she'd left Zaz out there with.. With.. That monster. She ran into her kitchen and threw open the cutlery draw, grabbing the sharpest knife she could find, before walking back outside on unsteady legs.

Harold silently observed from where he stood, Hannah coming back outiside, his fists clenched at his sides, creaking in the leather gloves and he pondered wether she had saw him and was going to threaten or try to attack him with the knife, because of his antisocial behaviour he had been attacked by youths several times and was the subject of many rumours about the town. He remained where he stood, his mouth drawn tightly closed and his eyes burning with intensity as he stared at the girl with the kitchen knife.

Hannah ran back to Zaz, relieved to see her standing there. She wouldn't have been able to live with herself if she'd gone. She relaxed her grip on the knife but her eyes continued to look for the horrifying entity that had appeared before her, darting from Zaz's face to the forest and back. "We have to go. Now." She muttered, afraid of drawing attention. Her tone was laced with urgency.

The man, the hermit stared at the scene of Hannah and Zaz, the former with the knife, he wondered what was happening, should he play the good samaritan? He pondered, he decided he would. "Excuse me?" He called at them from where he stood.

Hannah jumped and reeled around, pointing the knife towards the stranger in self defence. "Get away from us!" She shouted. Her heart hammered in her chest like a caged bird.

He didn't flinch at the appearence of the knife and the shouting girl. "I recommend you lower that knife. I don't take kindly to being threatened." He stares into Hannah's eyes, his eyes seem quite large in comparisson to the rest of his face. "What is it that has you so hysterical? Is it me?" He places his left hand onto his jacketed chest. "Take time to explain your fear and it may dissipate."

"Will you stop it with the God-damn long words!" Hannah shouted. Fear had dramatically cut down her attention span and she wasn't in the mood to listen to someone that sounded like they'd swallowed a dictionary. Her knife hand shook and her other balled into a fist. She needed to leave, to get to safety, and soon.

He sighs. "As you wish. Tell me what has scared you and that may help." He was both frsutrated and slightly anxious with and for the girl with the knife.

Hannah licked her dry lips and looked around, her anger suddenly dissipating and leaving her drained and fearful. "He was here." she whispered softly.

He craned his head forward and slowly placed one foot slowly. "Who was here?" He put his head at an angle. "What did he want?"

Tears started to form in Hannah's eyes and her knife hand shook harder. Her lower lip trembled slightly and she opened her mouth to speak. When no noise escaped she shut it again, shaking her head.

For a few moments; Harold remained silent, a very sympathetic look entered his eyes. "Can you tell me your name?"

Hannah swallowed hard, tears slowly running down her cheeks, before speaking softly. "Y-yes. I.. I'm Hannah." she croaked, slowly lowering her knife. She felt so ashamed to have raised her knife to a stranger. The tears started to flow faster and the knife clattered on the pavement as she dropped it, burying her face in her hands and crying.

"My name is Harold..." He brushes the knife away into the gutter with his foot and walks slowly towars Hannah. "What happened? Actually, do you need help getting home?" He doesn't really change the tone of his voice, it seems to level at a constant monotone.

Without warning Hannah threw herself at Harold, clinging to him and crying harder. She didn't care what she looked like; she was desperate and afraid for both her and Zaz's life. Sobbing into his shoulder, she choked out words. "The Slender.. Slender Man.. He.. I.."

His arms remained at his sides despite the discomfort of physical contact, which he was not used to, he jumped slightly at her lunging towards him, he felt pity for the terrified and weeping girl which then faded and curiosity emerged at the mention of the Slender Man. "The Slender Man? Who? What did he do to you?"

She cried harder set the mention of his name. "The White King.. Der Ritter.. Der Großmann.." She trembled slightly.

He realised he won't get any sense from her so he decided to change the subject. "Do you need any help in returning home?"

She shook her head, sniffling loudly, and pulled back, wiping her eyes with the back of her hand. "N-no, thank you."
