Strange Happenings?

I am in the process of collecting video for the first episode of the vlog I am making with my girlfriend. I think now is an appropriate time to mention that I am an atheist, and she is Wiccan, so I am always going to be more than a little skeptical. However.

We were out in kind of creepy country (we live in North Dakota, so there are many ghost towns), and we slid through a space between two buildings. The footage, taken on a possibly sun-damaged SD card with a crappy camera, doesn't match the audio now, and the visuals are way slowed down for some reason. I have no idea why, but it is a little unsettling.

I do not believe in the supernatural, but I am schizophrenic, so I have to be careful about letting my reality become less than objective.

So, guys, so that my girlfriend doesn't worry about creep bidness, and so that I can convince my disorder it is just wigging out, please tell us: have you noticed more "creepy" happenings in your every day life?

If you have, tell me some stories. I think it's a psyche thing, but I'd still like to hear what we're in for if we move forward.

(I am not posting "In Character." I do not believe in Slenderman. I do not believe in ghosts. I am just trying to reassure my girlfriend, and also have some fun hearing ghost stories.)

Haven't had anything happen while filming my series, but if you watch the first video of my series, the story that I tell actually happened to me. (not trying to plug my series, I'd just rather point to the video instead of typing it out again.)

the TJA girls have had lots of weird stuff happen to them since they made their series and my family has a long history of weird things happening to them, including a reported apparition in my current bedroom (however that happened all stopped least 15 years ago xD)

Thank you! I heard from TJA Projects, and they were very helpful. The results are looking hopeful, but I do have to say, I am excited to share our scary, corrupted footage. The first episode won't even require editing except for time. I am psyched.

Just this morning I woke up and thought I saw a suited figure standing in my doorway. I blinked and it was gone, but my cat wasn't staring at it. If there's one thing cats are good for, it's identifying whether something is a paranormal entity bent on devouring one's sanity or just a trick of the mind from post-sleep.

The lesson is: I suck at telling stories. Or maybe it's "get a cat". I wasn't paying much attention.

Are there really no more people interested in giving me their stories? It doesn't seem like there is much interest.

Which, in my case, is a good thing. Ha.

I'm wiccan and I rarely have any paranormal experiences, unless I'm doing some sort of an invoke, which isn't really paranormal per say. I occasionally hallucinate but that is from lack of sleep, so I know better than to chalk it up to paranormal. Since working on my vlog I can't say that anything has been particularly creepier. The closest to a paranormal experience that I've had is doors opening on their own and things falling (which I can usually find a decent explanation for, but that just might be me rationalizing it).

To be honest sometimes video and audio desync when uploading. As for the video you might have been recording with the shutter speed set too low. Try raising your shutter speed when you film next and just realign the audio if it is off

Yeah, this is a cheap camera, so I actually can't set basically anything. We wanted to start off using this crummy camera, and graduate to a better one. We will use this to our advantage, however.

Part of our "distortion," instead of the usual suspects, includes a severe rolling shutter effect. We decided this after realizing how badly the shutter rolls on this camera. It would be infuriating if we weren't using it. Seriously, any tiny bump or movement it seems rolls the shutter. The camera has no image stabilization. Ha.

Thanks. It is totally fine, because I am a mass comm student and I have access to some super kickass cameras. But those are for later, when my character ragequits this camera. It will be trololololovely.

I was actually going to post a new thread for this, but since this one isn't thirty days old yet and it's definitely related to this, I thought it would be as good as place as any (and wouldn't require me to spam a new thread on roughly the same topic ).

I just started a new slenderblog called Inclement Weather NC, and I posted my first set of photos yesterday with one being a slightly blurry picture of a guy standing in a field (pretty obvious who it's supposed to be, given the circumstances). I've got an entire storyline set up where the person starts being stalked in a town called Monkton, New Hampshire, which is actually Clarion, Pennyslvania, but I had to fictionalize it and move if further north for part of the story to make sense. None of the pictures from that location are edited, though. I only have one that I did mess with, and it's from Oklahoma.

I was just looking at the pics this morning, and noticed this on the Monkton/Clarion courthouse picture (you'll have to enlarge it to see it clearly enough, but if you just click enlarge and don't go original size, it looks freakier):



When I first saw this, I was like 0_0

What actually happened is pretty obvious when you notice the lamps standing around in the park outside of the Courthouse, though. They all have white globes at the top, and one of them was behind the tree at just the right angle to look like a head when I got the shot. Still, hard to deny that it looks like this:



Was it intentional? No, not at all. Will I play it up like crazy? Heck yes.
