The sirens grow louder as the men and women of the complex head into the basement. The wind is getting louder and the rain becomes louder. Kim's shouts to get into the basement become more frequent and louder. The building also begins to slightly shake under the abnormally strong winds.

A rustling is heard in room 209 as a random man wearing a trench coat bursts out. He rushes down the stairs, his jet black hair going every which way. He pushes people left and right to get to the basement. By the time he reaches the basement he is almost at a sprint. Soon Kim comes into view, he tries to slow down but it is to no avail, he runs straight into Kim's stomach and his head bounces off of it causing him to fall to the ground.

"I'm here Kim...."

* Looks at the man *

" Yea I can see that ... do not run,calm yourself and get settled down stairs."

* pushes the man forward leading him to the basement... She then returns to the hallway above the basement and continues yelling *

" Everyone to the basement this is an emergency! "

The Man sits down on the cold stone floor and looks around. The room is covered in cobwebs and various old things. Boxes are strewn around the room, and cots are set up against the wall. A single lantern illuminates the room. The Man looks around the room nervously and jumps as the boiler turns on.

"Jesus....I hope this storm passes soon..."

The Man looks at his hands and begins twiddling his thumbs, and begins to bite down on his check, hoping for someone else to join him.

*Looks down the hall way waiting for more people suddenly a bolt of lightning is heard and she jumps .. her heart almost skips a beat *

"God damn this storm... this is going to kill me!"

* looks down the long hallway and see's something ... she thinks its a man in a suit so she yells*

" Hey its down here!"

*as soon as she does so she sneezes and when she looks back up the man is gone*

" umm what? must just be this ... storm or my imagination "

* Continues to yell down the hall for people to come to her*

The Man decides to leave the basement out of pure fear and head up to where Kim is, as he is walking up stairs the sounds of odd whispers fill his ears.

The man then begins to quicken his step, the whispers are getting louder and louder. Soon they just vanish. The Man looks at Kim and says..

"Kim! Do you hear that!?!"

* Kim screams as the man came out of no where*

"Jesus! .. you scared the hell out of me!... And n.. no I did not however I think .. well I think this storm is making us lose our minds..."

* Kim looks down the hall nervously but does not see anyone or any "thing" else *

"well I thou.. thought I saw a .. a man earlier but .. I dont know ... just go back downstairs and relax... please this is just to... odd"

I walk into the basement, soaked.

"Great time for a walk.", I mutter to myself.

Kim comes downstairs to take role and notices me.

"Don't ask."

*Kim mutters*

I sit down, twiddling my thumbs nervously.

I need to get back to my research....

I'll just go grab my papers real quick. It's not like anybody will notice I'm gone.

[It's okay if my character has a few obvious things on him, like a cellphone, right?]

James comes down shortly after Ernest, a guitar case over his shoulder and a notebook in his right hand, hugging it against his side. He's whistling "Gimme Three Steps" as he walks down the stairs.

He finds a corner to sit in and positions his notebook to try and catch some light (assuming there's a window outside for moonlight to shine in through) and then unzips his guitar case, pulling out an acoustic guitar.

"Might as well practice while I'm down here." He says flatly.

I brush past James, (one of the few friends I have in this building) and quietly sneak out the door.

I take the east set of stairs, carefully avoiding Kim. I was halfway to my apartment when I saw somebody. I quietly pressed myself against the wall and looked around the corner.

He's gone.


Whoever that was, I didn't recognize him.

[We need more people! Don't hesitate to join.]

[Switching to 3rd person]

Grabbing his laptop, Ernest made his way back to the basement.

He was almost there when Johnny bumped into him.

"Aren't you supposed to be down there?"

"Yeah.... I was just grabbing my laptop."

Johnny didn't really care and returned to reading his book. Ernest quietly snuck into the basement.

Nobody noticed.

A few minutes later a tall broad black haired man in a leather jacket with a full bottle of beer in one hand walks into the basement.
"Heilige Scheise! That storm is going crazy out there, I glad i'm inside."
He then turns to Kim and says: "Do you think we are going to be OK Kim? That storm is shaking the place down."
