Yeah, I think this would be the difficulty. For the most part, 15 year olds can't pass for CIA agents, and cinderblock student dorms can't pass for MI5. If they could, someone might have done this by now.
Still, it's a project I'd love to be involved in if anyone has the resources to do it. I was thinking, actually, it'd have potential for a shit-ton of crossovers. Maybe have cameos of Slender Man survivors (Slendurvivors?) brought in as consultants? Another problem with this is that those of us who have these ideas typically live many hundreds (if not thousands) of miles apart. It's mildly frustrating.
And yeah, I'd be down for it if it were a plausible thing. It's problematic, but not insurmountable. We already have people collaborating between different states, different countries, different continents. Obviously the central cast and the main locations would have to be in the same general area as each other, but there's no particular need for writers, graphics people, sound guys etc. to be in the same room at any point really. I suppose it's the stamina more than anything, and finding someone who's willing to be bossed around by a committee rather than doing their own thing.
/hinthint ...we should talk about this. Yes.

| For the guys tking about dropping the MOAB on Slendy.
Not enough. You're talking about the primary antagonist of the fear mythos. Dudes got his own plane of reality. What you want is a hydrogen based thermonuclear warhead.

This is the most plausible I have heard yet, but I feel like it's the most unlikely to actually be created.

| I think the greatest weapon you could come up with for destroying Slender Man is a giant Mind Wiping Device that would completely erase all of Slender Man from all memories of man, while also implementing a virus into the internet that would find every mention of him and destroy it. That's definitely what would have to go down. | |

But I'm still going to go with mass child sacrifice.

| I dunno, maybe he'd get all fat from gorging on them?
Maybe if all the kids had HIV or something...
...no, actually, this is a pretty dreadful line of thinking. I just remembered that one (and only) good series of Torchwood and got a bit carried away. As much as it would be fun to blow Ol' Slendy up, I sort of like the idea that actually, the way to kill him involves doing something seriously repulsive in a way that requires mass organisation, like getting everyone on the planet to bleed out half their blood simultaneously or something.

| Regardless of the situation, mass child sacrifice is usually a good route to go down. | |

| Actually kinda reminds me of Melody of Oblivion, a semi-decent anime series. I never finished it but the general shtick seemed to be that some monsters had beaten humanity in a big war, and allowed us to live more or less as we had done as long as we gave them children whenever they asked for them. | |

| This was getting uncomfortably close to the concept of Answering the Maelstrom, but suddenly there was a left turn. I don't know how I feel about that. | |

| I'd prefer that Slendy remain alive, but if he was killed, I think it would be best for some sort of godlike being to do it. Or that whoever kills him becomes him. | |

| If Slender was a fairy of some sort, we should use iron, steel, silver, and rowan wood; because faeries are intolerant to man-made things like technology and alloys, which would explain why slender wouldn't be able to directly affect cameras, and is only ably to do so through the radiation he gives off... we'd also need lead aprons -.- | |

| Nice first post, though I'd encourage you to make an intro thread. –.O
I think there's capability for him to be killed, but perhaps by another fear. Protagonists shouldn't kill Slenderman.

*bites tounge, trying not to correct apollodorus by saying his name is Slender Man instead of Slender* There's been a story where cold iron and wood are used to harm the Slender Man, but that story is... well... isn't very coveted.

| What about using the old Summon Bigger Fish tv trope? Maybe a natural predator from whatever dimension Slendy bled over from. I don't know about you, but the thought of Slender Man wading through, and ultimately being born down by, a pack of a dozen or so Rakes makes me very happy. Or, heaven forbid, a Slender Man Eater. God knows what that would ever be or how we'd deal with it once Slendy is gone. -or- A sentient Roomba with a wormhole generator attached to it. That should do it. | |

A sentient Roomba with a wormhole generator attached to it. That should do it. How amazing would it be if Slender Man were to battle it out with another Eldritch Abomination! If anyone had the time and Special Effects skills to do that, I would pay them unlimited money.

| Slenderman is a trans-dimensional being born of human collective thought. Only something else that's trans dimensional could kill him. The reason he can teleport and/or turn invisible is because he can switch out of dimensions. We can only see him in the third dimension, and when dissapears and/or teleports is when he switchs back to the fourth dimension. He can interact with us, since he is of both third and fourth dimensions, but we can't touch him, because we are only of the third. It's all in the quantum theory. Look it up. So no, unless we find someway to become trans dimensional, he's unstoppable to us. | |
