Help! Slender Questions

First of all, welcome to the forum!
Second of all, (and I know that this doesn't apply to everyone) a lot of us don't feel too good when our tall lanky friend is called Slender.  There are many different reasons for this among different people, my reason being that it's like calling Link "Zelda" or Samus "Metroid," stemming from the people who played the game Slender, and never bothered to learn that the creature's name is Slenderman.
I digress though.  I would be happy to help you with your study.
I first learned of the Slenderman while sifting through Minecraft wikipedia articles, when I happened upon the mob Enderman.  The article linked me to Slenderman, and I have been hooked ever since.  That was in 2011.  I have been using this forum on and off, but more frequently recently due to my mod status.  As far as other fans go, I generally love them.  The only exception would depend on why they love Slenderman.  If the first thing they think of when you say Slenderman is Pewdiepie, we probably wouldn't get along that well.

What go me into slenderman is: My first year in college a friend showed me the first couple entries of Marble Hornets, so I spent that evening and half of the next day (getting sleep in between of course) watching all the Marble Hornets stuff, needless to say I was hooked. I then stumbled upon Everyman Hybrid and Tribe Twelve and I've been a fan ever sens. 

I've been a fan of Slenderman from about mid 2011 (when I first discovered him) to now.

I'm on the forum pretty much all day and night, but I'm mostly idol when I'm on here so I would say maybe 4 or 5 five times a day.

Other fans of Slenderman are pretty cool, at least on this forum anyway. I haven't had a problem with anyone and we all get along pretty well.

What got you into Slender?
I'd say that I randomly heard the name along with the image one time while surfing the internet. It wasn't from the game or the Creepypasta fandom, I just saw it on Google Images while searching for other creepy images. The moment I saw it, I was interested.

As long as I can remember
how often do you frequent this forum? 
Usually everyday and sometimes night (Im on til 4 am on weekends)
how do you view other fans of slender?
I think they can be a tiny bit relatable and kinda cool. There are a lots of series to get into, so talking to one may get you into something new, which I find fantastic!

Lets see... I got into Slenderman because of an old Fear ARG called The Crucible. My best friend got me into it and I've been here ever since late 2011. That's actually how I met my husband and as he said, sometimes it gets a little irking when people call him Slender. If the game is how you were introduced, great! But I would really like people to do more research. I guess that's the only gripe I have with other fans. Oh, and sometimes they call HABIT this ~kawaii~ little thing to swoon over. HE ATE A BABY.

I don't know? I mean, its like with normal people. You don't have an opinion of someone till you met them. So I few other Slenderman fans as people like me.

My interest started when I first discovered Marble Hornets, on accident. I don't remember how exactly, but I quickly went to look into his origins and anything I could find. I was in love with the idea. 

How long have I been a fan of the Slenderman? 
I want to say since around 2010/2011. We started our first slenderman/fear vlog in late 2011, but I participated in an ARG involving him beforehand. I have no idea for sure. 

How often do I visit the forum? 
Maybe once or twice a week, and if I'm on, I'll more than likely not make a post. 

How do I view other fans? 
I view them as other strange people who like horror. My only dislike is that I've found a lot of the fandom to be very unpleasant.

what got you into slender?

I was watching Toonami one night and a review for the Slender game appeared. I saw some people playing it on Youtube, then looked up more general information on Slenderman and found a video someone made trying to explain who it was (but it seemed to be a type of "in game" presentation). From there I found Marble Hornets in the related video section on Youtube, and then I found the wiki, which lead me to this forum here.

Several times a week, probably once a day, though these days it's often to see if one of the main series has made a video update. I tend to see other people's opinions on the entries before I watch it myself so I can look out for things.
 
how do you view other fans of slender?

I think they're a patient and intellectual group of people who can be dedicated. Many of them enjoy the horror genre in general. A lot of them are also friendly and are willing to give out info and help. I'm trying to get some friends IRL into Slenderman series but they don't have the patience for the slow build ups that are in a lot of series.
