| Hello, Slendernation.
I'm sure quite a few of you enjoy watching anime, yes? We should recommend good anime to each other. You can give and receive suggestions, or just lurk.
Make sure to include the genre of the anime you want to watch, and maybe an anime of the same genre to help us suggest one.
I'll go first:
I'd like to see a good Sci-Fi and/or Psychological anime. Steins;Gate and Serial Experiments Lain are both favorites of mine.

| Sword Art Online: My personal favorite, there's a decent amount of action and the romance is amazingly well done. and I HATE romance in my entertainment. No game, No life: currently mid-way through its first season, the way the main characters play everyone else is brilliant and the world's mythos is inspired Attack on Titan: Its good and popular, which appears to be kind of rare for an anime. totally worth watching
Here are my offerings oh great nation of slender. Enjoy!

| Thanks. I've seen SAO and AoT, but No Game No Life looks pretty interesting.
I'll try Welcome to the NHK as well.

| It would also depend on what your preferences are, but here are a few of my favorites.
Steins;Gate (scifi) Zegapain (mech/scifi) Robotics;Notes (mech/scifi) Baccano (not quite sure what genre to label this as) Mobile Suit Gundam 00 (and any Gundam of course) Attack on Titan (of course) Jyu-Oh-Sei (scifi)
Edit: Dr Squirtle if you liked Steins;Gate, Robotics;Notes takes place after it.

| Elfen Lied. It's about the genocide of a species that kill humans. Definite tear jerker. | |

| Attack on Titan- Well, no shit Steins;Gate- Pretty epic time looping Higurashi no Naku Koro ni: Time loops and bloodshed Cowboy Bebop- Always a classic Madoka Magica- A magic girl show that is not what it seems (don't judge the appearance, shit really hits the fan). More loopers here. Psycho Pass- Like Minority Report, pretty good, and the guy who made Madoka Magica above also directed this. | |

| My usual recommendations usually vary depending on what you like.
If you like sci-fi and psychological thrillers I usually recommend:
Steins;Gate: Probably the best anime I've seen that covers the possibility of time travel. It has a great dub. Higurashi no nako koro ni: I haven't finished it yet, but if you like psychological horror its a great series. The dub isn't too good though. It's about time loops and murder. Death Note: It's one of the psychological thriller anime that I'm pretty sure almost every anime fan has seen. It drops in quality halfway through, but still really enjoyable. It's like Dexter but good. Mirai Nikki: I've only seen 5 episodes, and despite having plot holes out the ass, its pretty good. Madoka Magica: It's a pretty horrifying show that disguises itself as a magical girl show to throw you off until it really gets started, and its extremely good. If you like shows that you can just turn your brain off and watch: Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion: It's a lot like death note, its got a genius protagonist and its about a rebellion after Japan is owned by Britain.
Some of the older anime that I recommend everybody should give a try:
Cowboy Bebop: It's one of the really old episodic anime, which is what got a lot of anime fans into anime to begin with. Its like what would happen if a Japanese person made a western show and then put it in space. Akira: One of the first anime I can remember hearing about, and an amazing movie. I can't actually remember what its about other than "TETSUO" "KANEDA" because I haven't seen it in a long time, but its good. Neon Genesis Evangelion: get in the fucking robot shinji Boku no Pico: yoooooooooo

| Barely fitting the definition of anime, but Avatar: The Last Airbender is probably my favorite animated show of all time. | |
