Oh, Dark Harvest...the series somehow manages to walk the line between good and bad. Every time I think I'm going to abandon the series, they pull off a video that redeems them a bit...only to follow it with a video that almost makes me give up on them...followed by something that gives me hope...followed by etc.
It's like the Roller coaster of Expectations.

You shouldn't be riding roller coasters if you're expectant.
I sincerely hope that the running guy wasn't their slenderman. Slenderman doesn't run away from people. It. Does. Not. Happen.

Pretty sure that was the Slenderfake.
He was, after all, the source of the mask.

Yeah, the running away Slender Man was fake. Too short, running away, etc. The real Slendy is standing behind a car and is WAAAAY taller.

Alright, so I think it's safe to say that the running away and any others were possibly proxies, and the tall one behind the car was the real deal, yeah?

I'm really intrigued by Slenderfaithful actually DRESSING UP LIKE HIM.

Now that you mention it, I am too. Who says Proxies have to wear hoodies and torn jeans?
Although that brings to mind a certain Employee who is fond of suits.

Or maybe Slenderman's just dicking around with them by making the Slenderfaithfuls dress up like him? They would do whatever he wanted, right? I don't know, but if there were more than one Slenderman, they wouldn't run away, they'd just dissapear, like he seems to whenever attacked. (Referance when Evan, I think it was, went at Slenderman with a bat. He dissapeared then, right?)
On a totally off note, @Harlan Phoenix, I love your avatar. WITCH is a great series! Sorry, it just had to be said. xD

...I just realized that that was a joke. And a good joke. Except I think the term is "expecting." Either way, winpoint for you.

I liked this series too. Log #10 though.... ick. I can respect the fact that bringing Slenderman to camera may be difficult. None of these series are on a Hollywood budget. They can only work to a certain limit. However, I would prefer the lack of "seeing" Slenderman to what looked like a cardboard rendition of him? Seriously? I thought they were going to reveal it as a fake, as if they placed it there. If they are trying to pass that off as fear incarnate itself, well, I shake my head at thee.
Between that, and the "I don't remember any of this happening" ripped directly from Marble Hornets... I am very disappointed. Not enough to unsubscribe, but my interest has certainly decreased.

Log #12
After the last entry, this series is wearing away my patience, which is hard to do. I am a very patient person most of the time, but this series for some reason seems to working my last nerve no matter how much I try to like it. I do like some of the ideas, like them calmly approaching their faceless friend and him unsheathing a knife. It is campy, but it works for them. And I am growing to like Alex. He is a pretty good actor, especially his
Spoiler:
"I really don't want to die down here." line. He really delivered that line.
And their new friend, Greg(?) is pretty interesting too.
I just CANNOT accept their trench-coat wearin' Slender Man--Or is he even supposed to be a Slender Man or is he their version of Masky?! I just don't find anything tying their videos together other than Chris and Alex. Everyone else and every other plot point seems to come and go so quickly and randomly. And I think that may be my biggest annoyance with this series.

It seemed like the supposed Slendercultist in their Totheark account.

^I got that but what... is he supposed to be? Is he supposed to be another type of Slendy, because they've already had a suit'd Slendy, so what is this guy's deal in the trench-coat?

I've gone with the assumption that this is simply his equivalent of religious garb, and Slenderman is his deity.

Personally, I think this is one of my favorite slendy series.
Yes, their Slender Man in 10 was...well not slender. Prompted a few jokes about it being Mr. Thin's less successful older brother, The Hungry Man, but I digress.
Given their age and the materials most likely available to them, they are making a slender series that I find completely engaging.
In the newest log, 12, I will like the subtle triggers they used to keep you on edge, such as the majority of the log being filmed in a room with a large mirror. I kept expecting something to show up behind them all, or in the huge windows behind the blinds.

I am starting to enjoy Dark Harvest as well. Its reasonably engaging, the plot is pretty easy to follow, and they are keeping most of it on YouTube (as far as I'm aware).
The trench coat guy, I think, is probably some sort of proxy or cultist, given his name. Of course, it could be a might a little more literal then we would like... But I doubt that he's their slendy. We've already seen their slendy in the typical suit.

^I could buy him being a Proxy, I guess since he does seem to watch and interact with the guys in such a way, especially in his violence toward them. New video, BTW:
Does Alex have his own YT channel? Chris mentions that Alex has been filming himself.
I like the fact that in this video, they preform a side-by-side comparison of the Trench Coat and Slendy. Very interesting.

Eh. Seems like too much of a MH ripoff... And I swear, Slendy has a fascination with people named Alex.
He wants to draw circles around the X in their names. If anyone called Xerxes ever makes a Slender Man video they are going to be in so much shit
Overall I think I like Dark Harvest despite its flaws. Shame about the low-budget effects/too many operator symbols all over the place, but there's a germ of an idea there that's kept me paying attention. Then again it's not like I've done a whole lot of viewing into vlogs outside of the big 3 (tried following Original Alien Dude, didn't really get into it even though I liked the idea of Slender Man idly delivering a beating to one of the crew)

I've just latched onto these. They seem to have got better as the episodes went on. So far they've been lumping key elements together from the "Big 3", but that's not a bad thing. But they do have to put a cap on their "Look at us, we're having fun with Slendy" nervous laugh thing they do.
I liked the whole "Let's look over here, OH LOOK. WHAT IS THAT. IT IS A CRESCENT MOON, SUN AND ROMAN NUMERALS. WEIRD." Shoving the Pagan/Arcane symbolical graffiti down our throat. I thought it was a a golden wrench or something... I downloaded the book scans but haven't gotten around to uploading them for my slenderblog OR even looked at them yet. Losing interest unfortunately.
Lisa, are we saying that in its badness it is good? I understand that, please allow me to re-adjust my thinking and pallet...Pantohorse will come back to you on this one
