| Maybe Hoody is Masky's friend, and he didn't want Tim to take the pills so that he could have his friend back. It seems as if they are working together in this Entry, beating up Jay and taking his Camera. | |

[spoiler="Shit ton of replies":41d5][quote:41d5="Incognitus999"]Here's a question - where does Masky's Masks come from? I personally think Hoody keeps it. - TheMysteriousLee wrote:

Odd. Hmm, what makes you say that? There's still static going on with Hoody appears, it's just not as strong as Masky's. Which is pretty interesting, actually. Makes me wonder why there's such a difference. - SunshineShadows wrote:

Also, I think Jay lied. I mean, it wouldn't be the first time and his tone changed when he said he didn't know. Also, he mentioned that, "I thin we're still in Rosswood" which tells us that he knew where he was.
To be fair, they were both pretty damn out of it when they woke up. Also, he was KO'd in Rosswood, and then woke up in a similarly wooded area. It's not much of a stretch for him to guess that he's still in the same woods. - level100nidoking wrote:

That made me realise, what if hoodie started all of this? I don't if he is against or for slenderman, but what if he is kind of like G-man from half-life? As in he's going everywhere setting everything up just right so what he wants is what happens?
I've been thinking for a while now that Hoody is the puppeteer behind a lot of what's going on. He's been influencing Jay vicariously through the TTA vids, and he seems to be using Masky as the muscle in his plans. When Tim isn't taking the pills and is in his Masky state, he almost seems to be zombie-like, and I think Hoody has direct control of him when he's like that. But as you said, the big question is whether he's for or against the Operator. We know at the very least he's against Alex, though that doesn't tell us much.

I'm starting to think he is avoiding slendy, not necisarily directly against him. In entry 45 when Alex was attacked by hoodie and masky, they ran away from slendy. He could have been afraid of slendy because slendy is his master, or because they don't want him to fight them. Maybe he is settings thing up to stop slenderman and this entry was a strange way of saving Jay and keeping him from getting to close to slendy.

| okay this episode was good and with the static im even more convinced that masky has somehow aquired a form of power from slendy. maybe he was a proxy but his will was strong enough to set him free from it but allowed him to keep the powers 0.o | |

EDIT: Whoops. I always assumed that the static there was still Masky's. Kinda like Slendy's static, it can happen when he's near as well as on screen.

Well this is both a good and bad thing. good, he's getting help from someone who's in on it as well, but what if Timmy hulks out again and beats the crap out of him while his back's turned? All Slenderman has to do is say the proverbial word and Tim's as good as his. You'd think Jay would realise this by now.

I think this (Tim going into the Masky state) was all just a ploy by totheark/Sinclair to get the two working together.

Yes, that is who Malus meant. Sinclair is a nickname some people use for Hoody. Before anyone asks, there's no real significance behind the nickname. It's just one of those things that popped up and stuck.

What makes you think Jay hasn't been a proxy all along? He filmed himself teleporting way back in season one. He's survived multiple encounters with The Operator, even when apparently left helpless on the ground. And, given what all else goes on in this series, is it really more likely that someone keeps hacking his Twitter and YouTube accounts, or that he posts things to them while in a proxy-fugue state?

| I don't think he's going to become a proxy. Recently, I've found my theories shifting to think that Alex is the proxy and that Maksy and Hoodie are trying to help Jay, which is why Alex was so hellbent on maiming/killing masky.
(And before anyone asks about the tackling and the creepy mid-night stairing sessions a la Masky; Whats helping someone really, really stupid to defeat/survive/drive off of faceless interplanar soul eating tendriled child abducting, friend stealing monster without a little bit of tough love?)

| This, of course, assumes that someone in the story is actually a Proxy at all.
After all, the idea of the "Proxy" was codified based on observations relating to totheark and Masky's behaviour. There's no reason that Masky, Hoodie, Alex or Jay have to follow the "rules" they helped create.

This. Masky's had Jay in situations where he could have killed or otherwise done away with Jay a few times, and he's never even tried to hurt him. I think Masky's just trying to scare Jay out of danger areas.

[Very, very true.] [But I think we can go ahead and assume that SOMEONE is working for Slenderman.] [Either that or everyone thinks everyone else is working for Slenderman and they're in this whole big circlejerk of distrust, and Slenderman is just there to stir up drama.]

There was a secret message in 61 that said "in the trees", or something to that effect... Anyway, the hint somehow corresponded to Rosswood Park, and viola, here we are.
