"Simply walking and thinking. You know, not many people do it these days. Life is now by computers and technology, and people like me just stand out. Wouldn't you agree? I mean, just think about it!"
Faustus now turns and stares off towards town. HE notices several people at a café, just talking.
"Can you imagine how other people think? How they see, what they feel and hear? I can't. This has always eluded me. All I can ever think is how it seems people talk of silly things, and act only what they feel is dignified. But they say they are Christians, and Christians don't use dignity in their actions. At least the real ones."
Faustus turns back to Alex.
