I've sat through all of Marble Hornets. Every single entry. And yeah, there were a few Jump Scares, a few sequences that really fucking unnerved me but nothing, nothing in my entire goddamn life, has every terrified me as much as when he looked back up. NOTHING. Because the first time we see Mr. Thin it's pretty much like "oh shit, Jay's screwed!" but the second time--WHEN HE'S WALKING TOWARD HIM AND THE CAMERA FUCKS UP OH SWEET LAWD, I CANNOT QUIT FLINCHING. YES, I HAVE A FUCKING PHYSICAL REACTION TO THIS ENTRY.
Maybe I need to stop with the meds or something but that shit is FUCKED UP. FUCKED. UP. TOP OF MY SCARIEST MH MOMENT LIST.
And then totally ruined when we see Jay fleeing.
I mean, that Jay escaped the little encounter was a foregone conclusion, of course, how would he be posting the tapes otherwise (unless...zombie!Jay?) but did we really have to see him run away? I would have appreciated more of a cliffhanger like WHAT HAPPENED TO JAY but alas. And the next entry will be the obligatory Alex-and-Jay-retrieve-the-camera which...now that I think of it...has a lot of possibilities. *hopeful*
In the interests of thoroughness, I rewatched #38. I hoped that the whole "you want me to take the camera?" aside would indicate it was Alex's camera because Jay left his at Fireplace Tree of Doom and Improbable Bricks. But Jay seems waaaay too nonplussed for it to be anytime after this incident. Unless he was memorylossed or trying to prove his masculinity by acting like the Operator didn't scare him. Actually, that leads to my latest drug-induced theory. Jay isn't Genre-Blind; he was just picked on a lot in school for being a wimp and compensates by doing horribly stupid things in the hopes of finally being called a badass. The entire "trying to find my friend I haven't seen in three years" shtick stems from his desire to have Alex finally brofist him and let him drive the Mustang.
Yeah anyway, I'm going back to bed. But this entry gets so much approval from me. So much.

As for the video, I did the same thing Wrathling did except for being scared/screaming when he showed up. My immersion was a bit ruined with personal things, so that's probably why.

I can't get scared and unnerved anymore, I think it's my age coming into play, plus it didn't help that I saw A Serbian Film a few days back. But I'm still enjoying it though. I love the amateur production value of all of it, it's of good high quality standard that it has and no one can knock its "Glued To The Screen" value.

Wow, just saw this entry and I think that this season of MH is finally picking up. I kinda found the first part to be pretty boring, and my mild annoyance with season 2 was starting to come out. But then Jay came upon that chimney and things started to get INTERESTING! BlackWolf and I were yelling at the end, "Gah! There he is! AAHH!"
